u shld repaint yr ceiling with primer/sealant ? then paint liao.

I put inside my huge floor to ceiling wardrobe that covers the walls of my entire room and each can only last a week will be filled full of water

I have an actual dehumidifier, about the size of a large air purifier. And I once measured with tools over a decade ago.

The dehumidifier releases hot air and the amount of water produced in just one night can fill up 1l. RH was about 70, previously 80 to 90.


I also tried working both dehumidifier and air con together. RH was 50 plus, not much improvements because the heavier dense moist air will quickly replace the void.


Air con whether dry or cool mode, could get it down to RH 60. The larger blower causing turnover of air is stronger.

These thirsty hippo won't even remove 1 pct as it does not move air, it's only able to affect nearby enclosed area. It can only passively dry the air near it. Heavier moist air will immediately replace the dry air. Replacing at rates much faster than it can dry.

The air slipping into the room via any openings is enough to negate anything it can possibly do. TS probably need to put a few barrels at 4 corner of the room to maybe have some effect. Daiso and value shops hv been preying on ignorant people.

The white beads are calcium chloride. A salt that is similar to common table salt sodium chloride. Very dry sodium chloride will absorb moisture from air too but not as much as calcium chloride.

The dehumidifier beads when turned into liquid can be heated to restore back into dry solid crystals for reuse. Online got large pack of calcium chloride by kg cheaper than retail small container.
