Based on what I read in this forum, looks like it is really kinda impossible to get a new Sub Mariner from AD without first establishing a relationship with them by buying some other time pieces ?

I read online and KHH has pretty good reviews.

Looking at the grey market, the prices are really high at this time due to the demand. Will still go check them out.

If I may ask, does prices of Rolex fluctuate alot ?

Cos it seems like the prices are really high now. Not sure if I were to pay a higher then usual price for a Rolex Submariner that I want now, will the value drop significantly in future ?

As I mentioned that I'm looking to buy it as an investment but I would also like to wear and enjoy the watch.

Eg; I would like to use the watch but if I ever decide to sell it, I hope I will not have to make a huge loss.
The price appreciate but also mean if you want to buy back, it’s gonna be expensive also eh

unless buy many pieces and keep then sell as and when?

116508 YG green dial 60k to 180k in just one year plus. that's 300%.

plus you can't wear your s&p500 nor MSFT/AAPL on your wrist.

to each his own.
not sure if there is really people buying at 180k. I rather use the 180k to downpay a property

Actually buying of other watches (less in demand), etc, this is practice at The Hour Glass / Cortina too right?
Regarding to posting on FB page or google review, ultimately KKH is privately owned. Just like sometimes we go BBT shop, or any shops at the shopping mall, they want us to follow their fb page/instagram, post on fb/instagram, and they will give us freebies, etc. This is their way of marketing themselves. If one don’t like it, can always go somewhere else, like Cortina, Hour Glass, Watch Palace.

Could be me, but I've never seen that kind of long essays with tags for all staff for BBT review.

buying a few tudors ain’t going to do it anymore as those same few peepur who used to do it already spoil market and tats why chiu see so many peepur who are new to tis game started to buy tudors in pairs and especially buying 2 Tudor royals and thought tat after buying it and posting they can getch a sports model from lolex. Those who started early can cos they already bought over 5-10 tudors back then ranging from black bays to 1926 then royals so they already accumulated tats why chiu always see teh same few peeps who getch allocated R sports.
Now most tudors are out of stock and they dunch nid chiu to buy unpopular or unwanted tudors cos there are many out there who will. Teh only way to getch a sports ish if chiu spend serious $ buying whatever ish on display (full gold or diamond unwanted ladies watch) or pretend to be very friendly and start making frens wif those who keep on getting allocated and then chiu will get noticed…then always go meet them pretend to talk abt life and other things and use teh “notch abt watches” but abt frenship agenda to start getting chiur watches. If watches were NOT a subject and out of a question many of them would notch haf even bothered to spend so much time to mingle and to be fwen here fwen there…sad but true bcos many haf a hidden agenda when making frens…juz rike property agents

Hello Rolex Veterans,

Stumbled across this forum thread and thought that it'd be best if I get some advice from the Rolex community [please don't flame me, I'm new to the scene]. I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and fell in love with the DateJust 41 - Blue Dial (126300).

I've been observing the market for this model for the past few months and as expected, it's non existent at ADs and grey dealers are pricing them at a ludicrous amount. I've registered my interest with Hour Glass but am pretty sure I'll never get an update from them. I understand the scarcity for these popular models and don't mind paying a premium for them, but paying $15k to over $16k for a 126300 is just ridiculous (to me).

Appreciate if I can get any advice from people who are experienced in this scene and helping me attain my first Rolex :). E.g., recommended grey dealer /ADs / Independent sellers, if $16 for grey market is "okay".

Thanks all!
