timestory - hmm lol not a fan of the way they do business

Yes I just bought a watch from Brightime, great experience and the staff gave a lot of good tips on how to handle/take care of my watch.

Thank you for being so generous to share your knowledge and for all the advise. Ok will do my research before buying. Appreciate your help :)
Investment might as well buy S&P500, every 7yr doubles.

buy Rolex depending when u sell still have to judge supply and demand. Now demand all time high much like the houses in USA.
Another 20yr who can predict

116508 YG green dial 60k to 180k in just one year plus. that's 300%.

plus you can't wear your s&p500 nor MSFT/AAPL on your wrist.

to each his own.

Maybe I never keep in touch but do Rolex Singapore Service Centre at Tong Buildings sell watches?

Reason I ask is because the warranty card states so, thus I also puzzled.

Read HWZ Forum Rules!
this confirm a staff purchase watch. RSC stop selling watches as long as 6-7 yrs ago.
and this G card is not those old type. only 1 generation different from the new NFC card.
so its around 2014-2020 watch.

Well, how many people managed to buy this watch at retail? Therefore, buying at $60k and selling at 180k is a hypothetical question. And not to forget, how many watches you have to purchase before getting that model u mentioned. While everyone can easily buy S&P500 and sell it in the market. For all you know, with the capital and profit earned, you can just buy from grey market instead of “waiting” to buy from AD. Which most prob, hard to come by.

U flip at this time sure!
Wear and ding up, only today ppl carrot pay premium.
Years later social norm change really depends on brands keeping up with trend. The quartz era did hurt them, last layman bro hurt many.
if investing means flipping sure. Long term investment we shall see no guarantees.

yes to each own. Cheers!

those prices i quoted are not even referring to retail price leh? lol
60k+ was the GREY market price <2 years back. i don't think the 60k you put into s&p 2 years ago is worth 180k now bro

Based on what I read in this forum, looks like it is really kinda impossible to get a new Sub Mariner from AD without first establishing a relationship with them by buying some other time pieces ?

I read online and KHH has pretty good reviews.

Looking at the grey market, the prices are really high at this time due to the demand. Will still go check them out.

If I may ask, does prices of Rolex fluctuate alot ?

Cos it seems like the prices are really high now. Not sure if I were to pay a higher then usual price for a Rolex Submariner that I want now, will the value drop significantly in future ?

As I mentioned that I'm looking to buy it as an investment but I would also like to wear and enjoy the watch.

Eg; I would like to use the watch but if I ever decide to sell it, I hope I will not have to make a huge loss.

Nobody has a crystal ball. The price only looks upwards for now, but who knows in a few years?

Yes you have to buy some other timepieces before you might be able to get a Submariner from AD. I like to think all ADs have a certain standard, wouldn't say there is a bad AD in sg.

I personally don't shop with KHH because they have a reputation for asking customers to write long reviews and tagging them on facebook, etc. But I don't know if it's true, just hearsay.

Went down to KKH 2 months ago, most of the watches are OOS. Only left with full gold datejust that was available for sale. Not too sure about now.

You can just drop by, and said you are interested in a Sub. But at current market situation, would say it is quite tough.
