No, because it's not made by the Swiss that's why it was never considered part of the the trinity.

VC also bought out by Richemont what - but it's still consider 1 of the trinity
one big reason why people exclude it from the holy trinity is because Richemont bought them, everything else in terms of movement, finishing, innovation and design is easily on par if not superior

pls take a good look at the crown jewel of the Saxonia family :o

If I wanna sell an old Rolex, should sell it to one of those dealers like Chuan Watch or try to sell by myself? Usually how much mark down will the dealers offers vs what I see on Chrono24?

I stand corrected, that is indeed a bigger reason if not the biggest which is a very big mistake on the public's perception :o

Lange makes the type of watches that sifts out people who truly wear watches for themselves vs people who wear watches for others.

Looking at the

amount of money you must spend to enter

versus

value retention/appreciation

you need strong conviction to throw your money at it.

Lange no doubt makes very good watches but too bad, the resale value is pretty bad.

U just need to be rich enough to view the watch as an expense and have no care for value retention

There are two groups of rich people. One appreciate the watch as it is for its craftsmanship, beauty and doesn’t care value retention. Another one rich enough and not looking to sell his watches but yet cares about value retention. The truth is, there is still quite a lot of people who don’t like the idea of owning a fast depreciating item. To these people, it feels good to buy something that can hold value. Just like there are rich people who will always try to buy properties that can appreciate or at least hold value but there will always be those who don’t care at all

How do you all determine that grey market prices are going down?

Went down to Bencoolen, a lot of stores not taking in my old gold 1803 :(
