wah lau. Money is always going to an option else why will they choose over a "branded" Rolex over an unknown Patek?
A better way to put things across is, similarly priced rolex vs patek

which one will YP choose?

the rolex of course

was at an AD just now.. was told to update my profile with a photo of my name card. This despite me having >5 watch purchase history with them. Apparently they (not sure the SA referring to AD or rolex) would like to screen their clientelle before allocating the watch. OMG what new heights of snobbery.
OK fxxk this bye bye, i'm going to buy from grey market from now on. Screw your stupid 'journey'.
Very normal now for them to ask this. I’m sure they won’t miss your business if you decide to buy from grey market. They still have tons of customers wanting to buy from them and most willing to furnish them with updated name card.
I was asked to furnish my date of birth as well for my recent Pepsi allocation from THG. Not sure why you feel so offended

Thanks bro for the update. I have read about this before, and thought it's quite extreme to queue at 4 am in the winter lol. Does this apply to just Seoul or other cities in Korea (such as Busan) as well, if you know? I am guessing there are at least 20 queue numbers a day but there won't be 20 watches for sale lol. Nonetheless, will give it a try when I am there.
I went to almost all the Rolex operated by different AD (Lotte, Hyundai, Shilla, etc) all same practice. I didn't go Busan but went to Jeju has only 1 boutique which has only 1 watch available for sale. Let me know if you manage to get any nice watches after queueing!

i think youth is an important segment

they are a generation who have been influenced by apple watch.

Rolex done well by connecting to the youths and working class demographics with tudor

A watch for the young generation is more of practical rather than luxury.

to break into the youth segment, and for the future, the luxury positioning has to be strong

otherwise young people will only wear apple watch

for this reason, rolex has the appeal to be what the youths want
