Thanks, hopefully the DJ i'm looking for will not require me to get other brands.
If you are after just the DJ and nothing else, you probably do not need to get other brands. But if you are trying to get a more sought after sports model and does not want to wait too long, you probably need to get other brands. After all, classic Rolex models are now released in smaller numbers than before. Hence, waiting times for DJ, even two tone ones have lengthened compared to 2-3 years ago

No need purchase history for most but not all TT DJ model. Most of the SS DJ need purchase history.
I just registered my interest for a SS DJ today, should I return to the outlet and register my interest for TT DJ as well to increase the chances of getting one sooner? Thank you!

If you are ok with getting TT DJ, why not? After getting the TT DJ and SS DJ, you can probably request for an entry level sports model liao

Looking at Watch Exchange, they seem like they are rather new compared to Brightime and Chuan. But I feel uneasy because they have MASSIVE inventory of brand new/used Rolexes which makes me wonder... I mean, these watches are hard to get hold of and yet their inventory is healthy. Is it safe to get from such dealers?

I don't quite get your concern.

Quite a number of Watch Exchange watches are consignment pieces. Anyway please do not think Brightime is small compared to Watch Exchange

Brightime website better than Watch Exchange. At least can search for the model number and get results. Lol. Watch Exchange search bar broken.

The Watch Exchange shop is really like a huge candy store for customers to browse and pick their choices. I think they thrive by having walk in customers to look at what they have, much less via website. Couple of times I passed by and so many customers were inside the shop. They have quite a wide variety of models it seems. Seems quite a successful business. Other shops that are quite new in this line and seems having good variety of stocks and models for customers to take their pick is Finest Time and Watch Capital.
Haha, for me I still only browse at grey dealers to keep myself updated of the resale market prices.

My friend wanted to go inside to browse then they told him want to see, outside can see. Lol. They have very high turnover based on their telegram channel but give off cocky vibes.

i thought I did see a lot of customers inside the shop browsing. Dunno man, anyway a lot of these grey dealers can be quite cocky. Heard Brightime is like this too

My experience
Brighttime- friendly, greets you and attends to your needs, no matter how many watches you want to try they will entertain. Bought 3 watches from them.

Finest time- very friendly, good service. Pretty gal. Lol. Bought once from them.

Watch exchange- only friendly after you paid and they want you to write a review. Most of the enquiries they will answer but not in a nice tone. Bought once from them.

AD can behave like this as they selling at retail price and they have more customers willing to go to certain extent to buy watches from them. Its a big mistake for grey dealer to behave like they don’t need the business as customers are paying premium and they would gladly take the business elsewhere if they don’t feel they are being treated rightly. Then words get spread around that certain watch dealer so and so are cocky.

As in, is there a possibility that some of the watches (used or new even) could be unauthentic? After all, these timepieces are rare and seeing the stock replenish daily is quite hard to believe. I'm rather new to the luxury watch world and I'm thinking of dropping $13k-$20k on a brand new Explorer or ND Sub so I just want to make sure my purchase is safe.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean they are a small dealer. I was referring to the inventory itself. Compared to Brightime website, Watch Exchange has a rather larger catalogue of used/new Rolexes.

Would you be able to opine on who would you trust to get a brand new authentic Rolex?

rolex is not rare at all, it is mass produced. if u buy from licensed grey, it is relatively safe
