I wanted to get my dream Rolex Datejust (41mm with Diamonds) to mark a personal milestone earlier this year and in the process ended up purchasing 3 watches from the Rolex/Tudor AD over the span of ~9 months.

1. Tudor BB GMT Pepsi
2. Rolex DJ 41mm SS Diamond Dial 126334
3. Rolex DJ 31mm TT 278271

The 3rd watch (DJ 31 TT) was a little unexpected as it turns out that my wife who followed me on my visits to the AD caught on to the watch bug and wanted one as a wedding anniversary gift. Was really glad to get the colour combo of her liking before our special day. As they say: Happy wife, happy life!!

Going forward, I'm hoping/looking at adding a sports Rolex to the collection if budget permits.

Quick question: For those who have gone through the AD route, just wildly speculating, is there even a chance for me to be placed on the wait list for say a rootbeer/starbucks?

Sometimes it’s not the $$.. that’s my personal take though. Come back buy box funny leh.. buy watch until so pathetic meh.. lol
I’m not inclined to buy the box separately too. In the past my friend bought Milgauss from Venice and he wore the watch on his hand but keep the box in the luggage. At that time customs not as strict as now though.

Heard Rolex ramping up production by as much as 30% and over at HK, most standard sports models maybe available at retail soon except for Daytona.

Be patient guys. Things will get better next year.

It’s really Heng Suay. Sometimes they check sometimes they don’t.
if let’s say take a gamble and don‘t declare and they check and found out, will they penalise against you by asking you to pay not just the GST but also a penalty? This part I still unsure. Never caught in such situation before

My SA told me this 30% thingy too when I visited in End Aug too. But not sure how true. Some people say Rolex will never tell their AD such things. But somehow i feel somewhat confident of the things she tells me about Rolex (she won’t tell me things which she not confident of from what I know)
