I got the 925 piece. Bought from WOS. Not part of any bundle deal but I bought it cos I thought it quite refreshing to have a watch in silver and the taupe dial is quite nice. But the resale price sibeh chui. Anyway I think in general Tudor doesn’t hold its price well in resale. Even one of their more popular model like the BB GMT Pepsi has also dropped quite a bit. My friend was still telling me last year that he thinks Tudor will become the next Rolex. I think still very very far from it. Lol
your friend must be dreaming

What I meant was my AD stopped me from buying as it may tarnish so he asked me to monitor for a few months 1st. How was the tarnish?
Oh I see. I haven’t seen any tarnish yet cos maybe because I also seldom wear. Think I wear for 3-4 times so far and rest of the time I kept it in a watch box together with other watches.

Haha he is a very big fan of Tudor. He thinks it is a very good brand and value for money. He has around 10 Tudors so far, all sports model. And yes, he buys to collect and they form no part in bundle for Sports Rolex

About 1k-1k plus margin or so i thought. Anyway I did a consignment with a grey dealer for a DJ SS before and they mark up about 1k.
Nope.. Tudor no value one. Imagine losing $13k liao then get allocated the Root Beer.. total amount spent = $34k.. BNIB now around $28+k.

Should just go grey if really want it

He can’t use it as bundle because the SA / AD he is with for the Rolex journey doesn’t do Tudor. But he is fine with it as he is hard core Tudor fan. So doesn’t bother him if he can’t use it to bundle for Rolex sports

Agree.. just go grey now. Regulars will get more calls for watches soon. With the dipped prices, there’s no point for new entrants to AD
Despite the situation, I get the impression a lot of the new entrants to Rolex still prefers to buy from AD. Many knows with AD you got to spend more in order to get Rolex allocation but somehow they still flock to AD to make enquiries.

Then he should just buy from grey market. Imagine how much he can save to add more tudors..

Why though? I rather buy from wherever that’s cheaper. Be it AD bundling or grey. Just seems more logical and cost effective. But I guess watches are often an emotional purchase.

Hmmm maybe it’s just a preference to buy from an AD? Like how some will prefer to buy iPhones from Apple store rather than from Challenger or the telcos. I buy my first Rolex with AD too in 2015 when prices from grey dealer was lower than retail

I buy from Apple cuz of the after sale service. If challenger sells the same product for cheaper, I’ll get it there instead.
