Not worth to get daytona aftermarket. The markup is scary.

I jus sold batman and sub halfgold recently. Tidy profit on batman but breakeven on sub hg. Still have around 6 pcs sports model and 2 DJ, waiting for a good time to cash in.

why u selling all your watches?

Yes i agree. Grey Market for some model has soften, especially rootbeer and sub. So i rather move in than to wait for stocks if im looking for one. Rootbeer some are selling around 10% above RRP which i think can be further nego

i find now not really a good time to sell. Market not as good, but if possible try to hold as long as possible.

not many people have good holding power as they lose their jobs or having a reduce salary yet got to service their hdb, car loan and credit card repayment or debt.

best time to buy actually.:s12:

No la. When AD decided to sell u a hard to get watch, there is always a gentlemen agreement that you do not flip (cos now need to justify to management why sell to you instead of others in queue ma). Most likely this customer flip the watch and the SE saw it as a breach of gentlemen agreement. :)

Like tat is like kena blacklist and next time no more watches for him

now i heard those ADs dont sell to foreigners anymore, especially for sports model. because they have enough local demand to satisfy. they rather sell to local who will in turn support them next time than to foreigners who will probably not see them ever again.

my collection thus far,
2 daytonas (one SS panda, one rose gold chocolate)
3 GMTs (SS, Pepsi, Rootbeer, Batman (sold off recently))
1 Explorer
1 DJ (gift to my wife)
1 Sub half gold (sold off recently at purchased price)
1 sub with date
1 President (for my dad)

last time always whack watch, then i quite support the SE, ask me get watch to support him, i will do so. thats why i am able to get the watches i want. but now, he promoted liao, so i am trying to speak to those newer SEs, to try my luck. :s13:

now the hobby died down already, so keep cash is better for me.

3. 1 vintage OP and 2 ND Sub

Just 2: sub date and Batman. Really thinking of Daytona but it’s way over priced now.

Nautilus now so hard to buy. My SE refuse to help me. Need me to build profile within Patek first.

How hype changes things....

When I bought mine, I walked into the AD, and bought it at a discount. Of course it was a long time ago.

Now of course the resale market prices for nautilus have gone crazy so ad also wont any how sell.

Last time before I resigned our managing director said before every piece of nautilus sold is equal to writing a cheque to a customer so they will choose carefully.

But when I first joined back then in 2011 if you know shop manager can jitao buy one don’t need what **** record.

And anyway last time client always ask people claim GST, so the record even they buy a lot also not under their name.

That explains why. If last time is like a blank cheque, i think now is even worse. No *wait* list no reserve. Jus said not available.

Means free money, once walk out of shop with the Patek he bring can bring go flip the new watch for much more.

Yes that’s why they choose very carefully, want also let their own VVIP flip who may have already spent hundreds of thousands to millions.

Why would they sell to some tom, dick or harry.
But of course like I mentioned before more than half of the manager do a lot of undertable stuff earn extra.

does the manager split profit with the staff?
if not, the staff sure report his doings
