Really got goosebumps after reading those PLP posts ..
All these shameless simps really Sinkie throw face 😂
Luckily I never vomit…
Haha yes these posts for fodder for a quick laugh. Quite silly given that premiums have fallen so much. They have to spend more in the bundle, wait for much longer, plus have to write those silly desperate plp posts. Yucks

Maybe won‘t rem but their system would able to capture all purchasing records you make with THG for last 7-8 years. When I first contacted my current SA, she could retrieve my first purchase with THG all the way in 2015.
I suppose it really depends on the SA. I have an ongoing purchase history with THG Vivo but when I tried to express interest in their Patek boutiques, not even considered for a calatrava.

The purchase history should be with the same SA and same boutique before he or she can put you on the interest list for the Calatrava. THG Vivo doesn’t carry PP I believed. If you go to another THG boutique branch to enquire for the Calatrava, it’s hard for the SA there to put you on the interest list for Calatrava as they would probably have quite a number of their existing clients expressing interest in the Calatrava, so quite hard for SA of that THG PP Boutique to put you on interest list for Calatrava. If you are already with the same THG branch that carries both Rolex and PP, it should not be difficult to ask to be placed in interest list for Calatrava. It is quite difficult now because the number of PP watches that comes to the AD boutique is very small and they have to take care the needs of the existing clients first, unfortunately

Haha my SA told me “cham, very little complicated PP watches now to sell. to allocate an aquanaut, the customer need to buy a complicated PP watch and there’s so few complicated watches that arrives at the boutique for her to sell”. Even Calatrava which customers can buy to be allocated a 5212 weekly calendar or as part of the profile building for Aquanaut also very few pieces per year. Currently they get only 1 piece each of the SS Complications and the ones in precious metals about 2 piece max per year. Calatrava slightly more, even then only 3 pieces max per year too. Not much they can do, Thierry Stern says they are not able to increase production as it is against their philosophy of making watches of highest quality with human expertise.

Wow thanks, that is very informative!

What do you think about the chances of getting an aquanaut after buying a pp complication? Would there be quite an extensive prior purchase history required, or would a pp complications watch suffice?

What about a nautilus, is that very different compared to the prerequisite for an aquanaut?

I wonder if Cortina would be similar.

Really hope PP secondary prices drop more this year. Seen more letting go on secondary now.

Happy new Year!
Just buy a normal Casio watch. Don’t need to make yourself pressure just because of a watch. Gaining 6kg means you are doing well too isn’t it; Ho jiak ho Kun…

get a watch and get stress over meals/daily expenses vs Ho jiak ho Kun gain 6kg, I prefer the latter… but with exercise
Hahaa
No la not doing well. One month only earn 3.3k and single. Already old liao got high cholesterol all that. Wear Casio I might as well don’t wear better.

Ya.: my rg complication had a much longer wait than my aquanaut. This year maybe collect a few Rolex allocations first then work towards my 5712.. just got to know 5726a is much easier and maybe I can even request now.

I can’t say the same for all ADs, however for the one I’m with, a purchase of PP Complication would qualify for an allocation of Aquanaut. But still got to wait 1-2 years for your turn to get the Aquanaut after meeting the qualifying requirement.
To get a Nautilus, you need to buy at least a Grand Complication of which the cheapest Grand Complication is around 125k.
These requirements for Aquanaut and Nautilus is probably the min. I doubt Cortina will allow an allocation of these two models with a lower requirement, unless for VIP super clients who have already owned a few pieces of Aquanaut and Nautilus all these years.

Yeah the irony of it that the watch to buy to build profile for the sports model allocation takes an even longer wait than the sports model itself. Our SA just told me the situation last month when I accompanied my friend to collect the Skydweller. Very little Complications and Grand Complications now to sell. I got another friend who wanted to get the 5905 from her and was told the wait might be longer than a year for him.
Your preference is more on the 5712 than the 5726A? If you don’t mind, maybe you can request for the 5726A. It’s a very nice piece too.

34mm only ah? I fat leh. Later wear liao look like wearing toy watch.
Maybe can try on and see if it suits you? Think sometimes the overall feel may be different from what the size suggests

I see. And I suppose when you mention Aquanaut, it means the 5167 only? Or would they also possibly consider the chronograph or travel time with the same prerequisites?

What is your view on the bracelet vs strap versions of the nautilus? I’m wondering if it’s “worth” getting 5726a myself. Likely to ever only own one nautilus, have a nagging feeling I will regret not saving up or holding out for the integrated bracelet that is such a huge part of the charm

I prefer the 5712 more. But it’s gonna be the situation that I would end up with both.. lol. Will double check with her soon.. I’m still waiting on the ladies aquanaut too so need to plan properly.

Yes the integrated bracelet is my preference. U have to refer back to your collection or what you intend to get too. Since almost all the pp complications are leather straps. Ought to get the bracelet version of the nautilus

Same, entire Aquanaut range. It’s the Min requirement I mentioned. Not sure if it might be more for travel time variant
