Happy new Year!
Just buy a normal Casio watch. Don’t need to make yourself pressure just because of a watch. Gaining 6kg means you are doing well too isn’t it; Ho jiak ho Kun…

get a watch and get stress over meals/daily expenses vs Ho jiak ho Kun gain 6kg, I prefer the latter… but with exercise
Hahaa
troll la. why u bother

Haha my SA told me “cham, very little complicated PP watches now to sell. to allocate an aquanaut, the customer need to buy a complicated PP watch and there’s so few complicated watches that arrives at the boutique for her to sell”. Even Calatrava which customers can buy to be allocated a 5212 weekly calendar or as part of the profile building for Aquanaut also very few pieces per year. Currently they get only 1 piece each of the SS Complications and the ones in precious metals about 2 piece max per year. Calatrava slightly more, even then only 3 pieces max per year too. Not much they can do, Thierry Stern says they are not able to increase production as it is against their philosophy of making watches of highest quality with human expertise.
Any idea if this is a relatively easy piece to get and if it can lead to a 5164 allocation?

Not easy to get. Probably you need to wait at least a year for it or even longer. Gem set complications probably produced in even lower quantities.
I’m not quite sure if this can lead to 5164, although almost a guarantee it can lead to at least a 5167.
My mum wants this and we can wait a year haha so wanna use this to get my dad a 5164 if possible. But need my YM to come first

If you dun mind, can try to hoot a Calatrava with that gem set white gold World Time. Confirm will lead to a 5164. Anyway all this takes time, so if your target is the 5164 and the White Gold World Time is not sufficient, might as well indicate interest in another Calatrava at same time. If you wait until you get World Time then ask, you will have to wait another 6-9 months for another model before you can be put on the waiting list for 5164. Haha

Getting a Tudor 1926 is an “amazing allocation” and still need to express appreciation for being allowed to buy one. Never fail to be amused by these people from time to time 😂

Is it asking too much for a 5226? :ROFLMAO: or that one sure cannot count towards allocation haha

I never ask before if 5226 counts towards allocation. You can try. I only know that 5212 doesn’t count towards allocation when I discussed with my SA what are the Complications that can count towards getting 5167. Agree that 5226 is nice, I saw it on the display before.

Actually every model counts towards patek profile. Just that some don’t add brownie points for sports allocation. Lol.

better to put your strong interest only on the pieces you r very firm on. Some have to wait more than a year. To what I recall, if approved for your purchase and you don’t take it, may have implication.

and different customers have different requirements. Long time customers have easier clearance and priority versus new ones.

Hahaha I personally prefer the 5326 but that's 2x the price of the 5226.

When you say profile not for sports allocation, is it to build up for application pieces? Which pieces are application pieces? Tried to search but can’t find any definitive info

For patek, most of the complications are application pieces. But ladies’ ones usually aren’t.. total purchase amount still plays a part if u have 2 customers vying for the same allocation.

Oh I see. Thanks! I thought there are pieces that the boutique or AD cannot approve on their own and Patek needs to approve? Even heard some needs to pass through an interview?

Say a piece like 5205g-013, considered a difficult piece? Or application piece?

Sometimes I get a bit confused by the definition of “application pieces”. For eg was told that the 5212 is an application model and I need to purchase a Calatrava before I can qualify for an allocation. But for the AC 4947-1A/001, SA said that if I expressed interest to get it, she will do her best to get the next piece that arrive into the boutique for me so that I can start my PP profile building for the Aquanaut which she did. But recently for new customers that wants to purchase the SS AC such as 4947-1A/001 and 5905, she say it is not so straight forward already. I didn’t ask her to elaborate but seems like these customers may need to have a profile with them first before she can get a piece for them. So I feel like I was kind of lucky to be able to get the SS AC as my first PP.
