Guess what? This day is my parents 30th anniversary of marriage and my birthday too.

Today 23rd January is anniversary of great grand dad’s passing.

I remember great grand dad used to held our hand and walked us around Chinatown with his wrist wearing a full Gold 1803 Rolex Day Date as the stallholders lined up and greeted him as “towkay”

Great grandpa would smile and reply “as towkay, everyone is my boss and that includes you all”

I still remember how great grandpa would teach us strictly on Confucius ethics & humility, even though he had a rough childhood before attaining success

He stood in as a dedicated father whenever Pa was busy. When i bullied and ill treated others at school, he caned me once, not to abuse me but to make me realise how it felt to be hurt by others.

Today, at the very same place where my great grandfather once stood, i would like to thank the boss of the AD

Thanks Boss of AD and salesperson (you know who you are) for all your hardwork and dedication to allow me this allocation, this is indeed a true milestone for me

Whenever i look at my newly allocated 40mm 18k Full Gold Rolex DD, i am perpetually reminded of my great granddad’s struggles, Confucius ethics and beautiful memories to bring us to where we are today.

He is truly a classic humble oriental Gentleman, even more so as epoused by his choice of hardworking, reliable & sharp timepiece, Rolex as himself

I cannot thank the Boss of the AD more for giving me something so precious to treasure for, my own timepiece that i will love as a family member and reflect the same values as my great grandpa

went to MB&F, say cannot purchase, no waiting list, but the rookie SA is more than happy to put me in interest list. ask if i am interested to be on it.
i told her, i don't believe in such list, forever waiting and not getting anything is pointless. i don't have time for such stuff. if i really want it, i buy it off the grey market because i believe the time is now.

lol but i also ask if buying one of their overpriced mechanical clocks will help with getting the watch? she say cannot comment.
