Half true. They don’t really need frequent servicing. I sent mine befor warranty ended and they upgraded the movement which was a factory directive. Never had any issues with the watch. But what I observe is, perhaps the local service competency isn’t that great. The watch came back feeling abit weird imo. If you wind the watch, you would find it not as solid as Rolex or patek..heard of a few cases of new pieces crown falling off when unwinded. It’s that kind of feeling. The finishing is great but the movement I feel kinda lacking in sturdiness?
My only complaint with ROO was that it got scuffs and dents easily, the slightest contact will leave an obvious mark lol..

So it’s true that they will interview customers at AP boutique. Today the sales person told me this when I visit the Vacheron Constantin boutique. I was a bit sceptical that they will go to this extent, so it is true from your experience.

So you decide to give up that ROO allocation? Did your SA give you a deadline to consider?
VC never do much, key in your basic info into the system and wait.

AP knn, annoying, ask your interest and all the what not, income level and ****. fk them. just buy grey. go buy watch still let them scrutinise

Yup.. for a stainless steel watch it’s not worth it.. plus it’s quite flimsy when u wind it..😂
the old one yes, the new ones are ok
i have 2 ROO, 1 titanium beast and 1 ROO Novelty Titanium
nice to wear la if your wrist can take
but pray it doesn't spoil, the servicing is smelly 2-3k

Haha when I put my name for the blue dial dial time in Oct 2022 it’s 3 years wait.
So between Oct 2022 to April 2023, the number of people who went to register interest probably twice more. One thing he told me is that by this time, they can’t really gaurantee that I can get the blue dial if I put my name even if I’m prepared to wait beyond 5 years. His reason is that this model (gen 3) is 10 years already and no one will know whether it might be discontinued in another 4-5 years time. He said that if I put my name and the watch got discontinued and replaced by another new model, then the queue will have to reset to a new one.

The black got a bit of translucent look I feel. Maybe just me.
There wasn’t a black Overseas in the boutique but he point out another model black dial to give me an idea what type of black would it look like. I feel the black would look better than the white as the white for me looks more like silver which makes the watch looked dull overall. From the pictures on website, I initially thought the white would look closer to the white tone used in the DJ white dial but alas it is not. He told me the black overseas will look a bit like grey under the sun. Anyway see how, whether it’s a 3 year wait or 5 year wait. If 5 years, maybe I might have shifted my interest elsewhere already.

There was one piece of the Dual Time rosegold in the boutique which is waiting for a customer to collect. He said if I want that piece, the waiting time will be as short as just 1 year

What is the reason behind AP wanting to know so much details about income level and etc? What purpose does it serve? The customer themselves will know whether they can afford the watch or not what. No need for them to help assess. Haha

That’s a bit strange, for such a renowned brand, they should ensure high standards of service competency even for the local service centres. Anyway, I think more or less I’m quite unlikely to want to start the AP journey.

It’s normal. Even rsc cannot meet my standard when I send in for a fix. 😂

I heard complaints from various people that they send in the watch to RSC ok and watch has numerous scratches upon collection from servicing.

I more or less decided to give up regardless of what ROO model as I’m still waiting for my first Patek Allocation 5226G . It was love at first sight for that model that stood a realistic chance to get for my first PP . I got limited bullets sad .

How long have you waited? I’m in love with the 5326G but the price a bit out for me.

If they announce new one at Watches & Wonders 202X then faster text the SA to join the queue haha

Lol..my friend quickly placed his interest for VC panda last year when it was launched and was offered last week so guess they truly abide by the queue system but in the end he did not take it up lol..
