Just curious, what are you guys take on 116610LN vs 126610LN?

I heard people saying there are pros and cons. Eg the clasp on the new one a bit big and may not fit as well. Suspect in the end these are minute differences. Go with your feel, if you want the latest go for it, if you want good value don’t think will regret getting the 116610ln

For batman same case size and bezel, but 126710blnr has a updated movement with 70hr power reserve and a dial which has a rolex crown in between the "swiss made" letters at 6 o-clock.

Thinking of trading away my 14060M for a 16610 because I'm missing the date register (always had a date function in my watches/Apple Watch). What are your opinions on the 16610 later variations? Heard the 3135 movement is legendary.

The 116610, to me, gives off a bulky appearance. It is more squarish on the wrist and the proportion is slightly unbalanced. The new one has a better proportion for its 41mm case size but it is larger on the wrist despite its slim-down lugs. It achieved what the ceramic Sub is supposed to look like - something the 116610 failed in my opinion. The wrist presence of the new Sub is noticeable and it wears "loud" in my opinion.

Just note that the lug with on the 126610 is 21mm. Some of the popular complains are the watch overall feels large and the bracelet is large (especially the clasp). What works for you might not work for others so try the two models and see what you like.

If I may, you could explore some of the pre-ceramic Subs which offers good value and better aesthetics in my opinion. Cheers!

Actually he’s just being honest. Meteorite dial is tougher than any pp u r waiting for. Don’t even need to put your name.

most people wanna try luck, not really a good thing because the SA won't take you seriously.
i bet some SA never even see before the actual product, that's how difficult allocation is.
my friend that owns a AD, told me he only received 2 meteorite GMT over the course of 3-4 years.

of course the bigger the AD is, more allocation but then again, still not easy to get it unless you're a big retail customer

According to SA, even John Mayer Daytona is Uber rare before it was discontinued last month. So ya, some of customer's request can be futile but perhaps the SA can help to provide some clarity whether it's possible or not

The watch world is full of shenanigans. The Daytona Meteorite dial was the first watch I registered interest as a noob without knowing the SA was laughing at me. Doesn't matter la, you live you learn, and I'm not defined by the watch I wear.

legit question leh, some SA will laugh or maybe smile when you ask for the sky, especially if your spending with them is not big.

for me, i never ask for something i know it's not possible with the little spending i did with them.
like walking to MB&F and they ask me to put name on the waiting list, i laugh together with the SA, telling them for what, if i want i buy grey. where got time go queue + go buy nonsensical stuff just to get a watch

i bought 15-20 shitty datejust from cortina and i got nothing from them in 2018-2019 (when everything wasn't at peak) at Raffles outlet (that stupid malay guy)
went to paragon, complain to another SA, he look at my profile, he told me he can do something for me.
i had to bundle another moser to get a rootbeer - sold them both away, net me 1k only (only because i wanna test the theory if cortina really give them together) and i don't need a rootbeer (never needed one)
buy 2 iwc mark pilot (titanium and ceramic top gun) for a sub date.

got myself blacklisted (LOL) because i fk the SA, told them to fug off, my money is better spent elsewhere if this is how they treat me

what AD experience? AD experience is when you have too much funds to burn. I rather go boutique route. small spender at IWC, still got send me Xmas and CNY goodies and champagne. song song gao joon koon

ya, was lucky when i ask about the lake tahoe. he straight tell me cmi, need to be existing client first before he can allocate to me.
invited me for the launch event on the same day even tho i am not a client (maybe because i was wearing my traveltime and happen to collect my lange from servicing, carrying the bag)
he thought i big fish but actually is kachang puteh. but still i supported la because this kind of SA very hard to find.
bought aquatimer from him, within 2 months i got the the lake tahoe, then iwc amg (he even tell me in advance and plan the purchasing period because he know not everyone got money to burn in a short period of time)

i intro a few customers to him liao in the meantime, they all got their watches they want and everyone is happy
