Problem is too many ppl supporting local AD, feeding them to move "cold" pieces, hoping to get their desired pieces. Just starve these greedy AD and wait...unless your lives depend on watches.

You must be in very small cities where the demand is much lower ….. than there is a possibility to leave your name and wait a few months for maybe a GMT etc ….. but for big cities like London, Paris, Geneva etc ….. it’s pretty much the same ….. in SG multiple steel models are available form the AD ….. Deep Sea, Explorer 2, Yatchmaster etc just leave your name and wait awhile

My 1 collick registed interests in a few steel models across various ADs in Sg.
Earlier this mth kenna allocated the small plat yuckmaster.
He took it and went straight to gray.
He said if he kenna allocated more he will flip.

But i think, knn, no pt rahs.
Those models ish cannot flip for much.
Gray retailer list $1k+ above rrp nia.
But that includes retailer's cut.
Sho collick probably ish earn a few hundreds nia.

They allocated him a model he didn't ask for?

I may be looking at a TT GMT, grey still listing few hundred above RRP. Though it has fallen from the COVID peak

Nope, he asked for it.
He went to ADs and indicated interest in the 'unwanted' steel models.
Including that yucksmaster.

The strategy he worked out was walk into AD, ask for random combination of SS sports models from the 'unwanted' list, and any SS model displayed at the store window. Those OP/DJ types. He figured anything displayed at the window ish what the AD ish trying to push. Lolz.

No new lolex regardless of model will trade below RRP sho long as there ish a wait.

A wait doesn't mean demand ish greater than supply.
Imagine an AD gets 5 TT gmts ebry quarter and there are also 5 pple on the list.
Ebryone of the 5 eventually gets the watch, but they still hab to wait 3 mths.
Avoiding that 3 mth wait ish what the extra premium on the gray market ish paying for.

Anyways TT gmts are ebrywhere at the windows.
ADs may be trying to push those models.
Better to go nao to list interest and hope to gets the call.
Before lolex price increase next year.

I was looking to get a 36mm Explorer I. It looks like it is now possible to get the current model at below retail at gray market after searching on carousell. Looks like no point to get from AD.

There's no demand in market and surplus stock that's why below retails. Simple logic. But still can't Walk in to get thou

If it’s one and done, just get from grey. But if from AD, may have perks like miles, “mileage” for subsequent purchases etc

I got previous sub from grey market last year. Wasn't thinking of getting anymore but this time, getting Explorer I 36mm as engagement watch, so it's quite matching with my watch with the black dial and no date

We don't wear it everyday so the date function is redundant. :)

Ohhh, if u already have an AD who is nice to you, think worth getting explorer from him/her to keep the r/s going. Don’t think the difference is that much, especially if you can earn miles etc

My bad, I wrote wrongly. I got it from gray market last year coz I didn't intend to buy more.
