Hi all,
Recently I have hit a big milestone in life and decide that i want to buy a rolex black sub 124060 or 126610 for myself to commemorate.

I understand there is a wait list/interest list(imaginary list?) after reading this forum. I don't wish to go down the grey market route, only through AD. I've been to 2 ADs (thg vivo and kkh) and they only told me im registered on the interest list with no eta in sight. I won't consider myself someone who buy a lot of luxury watches and I don't mind waiting.

May I ask all the experts, realistically is there any chance I can get a black sub (date or no date) this way?

I know its virtually impossible for models like daytona, batman or hulk. I'm asking only about the specific models that I am interested to get. The models that I want I know they are popular as well, but not as exclusive as daytona sorts, that's what I'm asking about.

Well if you put it that way. Nothing is truly 100% impossible right?

Theoretically since your name is on the list, your turn should come up when others before you on the list get their watch?

But then you yourself said, the list could well be imaginary.

Just curious, why do you think a black sub would be any less sought after than a Batman?

It’s almost the quintessential Rolex. People who have Rolexes still want one. People who don’t want it as their first watch.

Doesnt help that the subs u mentioned are 2020 references.... not that the previous ref was going to be any easier to get though

some waited for the 114060.... wait until discon and became 124060 and still waiting... probably wait till it became 134060....

and becos most people thinks alike, so the sub is actually quite sought after like u mentioned, cos the rest is almost impossible.

anyway u can just give up. almost impossible to wait, probably giving yourself some false sense of hope that its possible. or else just park your name there, then every 6mths text your SA or every festive also text them, make them remember that you exist.

If you are only looking to buy a sub just go grey. Get the older reference to save some money cos the 41mm is still trading quite high due to hype.
