Can first timer even walk into retail and get a brand new piece at all?
Maybe full gold models if available… you be lucky if any models on display are for sale. Even datejust have to be put on waitlist 🤣

Hi all! I'm considering to sell my rolex, need some advice from longtimers here.

I have the full packaging with papers and Hour Glass receipt, nothing missing. If I were to sell it (e.g. via Carousell), what is the best way to protect myself such that the buyer won't later come back and claim I sold a fake?

Also, my watch is almost 5 years old with scratches. Is it better to sell it polished or unpolished?

AFAIK they have pretty much no case even if they claim fake after deal is done and part ways.

If they want to be overly cautious they can arrange for third party authentication and deal only after verifying.

Unpolished is better to sell for savvy buyer.

usually I just block the buyer after selling any watches on carousell. As I will say check until you happy before you hand the $$$ over. Once $$$ is in my hands, good luck and all the best~

I can sleep peacefully every night... so I dont care if buyer swap out the 3135 movement after the deal and put in a faulty one inside or what...
