After reading this article, the couple actually managed to escape sg, even when their passport have been impounded by spf? How’s that possible really? In this modern year 2022, really quite hard to fathom anyone could successfully flee to neighbouring country by speedboat, and escape the water radar of our Police Coast Guard.

And even if they’re caught in the days/months to come, the article says those convicted of cheating can be jailed up to 10yrs. 10yrs only? To scam a total of S$32M, go in sit 10yrs. Tradenation & tradeluxury, I really take my hats off you guys for successfully pulling off the greatest amount of scam in the history of Singapore, to-date.

It’s meant for actual rich people who don’t want to show off to general peasants on the street. Like Hermes birkin/Kelly, you know you know, you don’t know you don’t have to know.

Just to share. I ever bought an ass replicas of Lange as it looks really like the real thing and I was really an admirer of Lange design. But in the end, it never saw the day light. I bought it, took home to admire and then after that I Just feel like I should not be wearing a replica and I left it in the desk and never for once wore it out. 😂

That’s why it’s a very serious case already. Need Interpol red notice to arrest the couple. Where can they go, how long can they hide? They must have many connections in Msia, Thailand in order to provide lodging for them. Else, how to check in to hotel w/o passport?

To think that they actually have the guts to do such a daring feat of escaping sg without passport. Really unthinkable. Can sleep peacefully every night meh? On the run like this? Don’t say S$32M is a lot of money ah. Now you’re wanted by Interpol. Everywhere you go, your so called connections friends in other countries sure jerk up their “asking price” of harbouring you liao. They know you’re rich and have no where to go mah. You wanna stay at my house? Can! Per night $50k. Want steak? Can! Per piece $5k. Don’t wanna pay, I tua you to Interpol police loh.

The whole of SG watch enthusiasts are watching this piece of news very closely already. Really rocking and breaking news. For the victims, they’re even more anxious on the capturing of the Tradenation couple.

This news is even more 轰动 than the Jerry Ee news. The Cortina supervisor who stole 300 over luxury watches worth more than S$7M+ during Xmas in yr 2008. Within 3 mths in March 2009, also got caught/surrendered.
The cortina watch theft fellow

he, accompanied by his lawyer, self surrender to SG embassy in BK

some things havent change ie no formal extradition arrangement between SG and Thailand even though both countries are listed members of Interpol ironically.

Because the only point of wearing a replica in public is to lie to others that you own it, especially when watches in our current day is basically an accessory/ jewelry for men.

It's the guilt of being a fake-a$$ that's stopping you from wearing it in public, hahaha.

There is always an element of risk buying from resellers. But the odds of a counterfeit are very minimal with reputable sellers.

They are reputable. Then again if you are asking about risk, all grey dealers are reputable until they are not. The only zero risk is to buy from AD. There are many ways to check, matching the serial number with the warranty card is one of them. But by far the easiest way to authenticate is to open up and see the movement.

You can ask them how can they prove that the watch is authentic (obv in a nice way), or u buy alr just go lucky plaza $50 authenticate for extra peace of mind.

Thank you for the feedback. I don’t think I would be able to tell even if I see the movement. Is there a particular shop in lucky plaza you recommend I go for authentication? Or can I not bring it to the Rolex service Center since I’m planning on buying a brand new datejust

Just make sure the serial number on the watch matches the warranty card itself. This should be good enough. RSC doesn’t do authentication anymore. Or if you still like to do it this way, send the watch for servicing at RSC, if the watch is fake, they will tell you. But that it a costly way to authenticate the watch when there are other shops outside who are good at doing authentication with a reasonable fee
