A forumer here once predicted that by Sep, the prices will start to go up. Anyone see this happening?
I was a bit surprised to see a July 2022 dated Starbucks going at 25k recently. Quite a significant drop even compared to what it was 2 months ago.

On another note, the TN scammers really timed the market well

So far it seems the drop in grey market hasn’t made it any easier to buy from AD. At least that’s my perception with my current AD. But let’s see, maybe the situation may change further in next 1-2 months time.

I think is only those hyped up model Daytona ceramic hulk etc taking the biggest hits
Other models more gradual increase one like don’t get hit too much

A lot of waitlist are flippers. Once flippers gone waitlist will clear out really fast. VC 4500v AD say 3 years wait, recently the less popular white dials people say now less than 3 months can get already. I think they will even give discount soon. Just wait for 1-2 months for reality to set in for existing greys and flippers.

That’s true, at least I don’t see that sharp a drop for models like DJ 41 SS. The drop is gradual and smaller

Probably won't change so fast. Just wait lor, for me is more is a want than a need plus I can't afford grey prices. So is just drooling and llst

Yup. I see from youtube a lot of dealers are more cautious with buying too. If can buy at retail that is a no brainier but if need to buy at market price, the big players are also not rushing in atm. Nobody wants to buy a Starbucks at 25k now and risk the market dropping further. Also, i don't know of any business that would not be concerned about cash flow lol.

I think last month I did tried asking a few big grey dealers and their reply is they r not taking in at the moment. I see a gradual decrease in price but I don’t think we would see msrp but at a slight premium of 2-4K for most sports model at most

Interest list is nothing. Every day, they received hundreds of enquiries and registrations of interest. You will never get the call for those popular sport models.

You need to know the rules of the games, and it changes accordingly with supply/demand.

I’m sceptical. It has certainly dropped but not to that extent yet I think

Yup. Demand will most likely still be there and supply from Rolex is still constrained. But in terms of seeing steel subs and gmts selling for 20-30k premium are gone. Will most likely continue to drop to around 5-10k premium over list.

ya lo...people buy becoz see others buy lo.. and it's easy money for them to flip. I think those appreciate rolex stared collecting way before 2016.. rolex watches now is like sure win money asset.. tt's why everyone only wan sport models.

now u see, zenith also waiting list.. i know a few people already start wanting to get zenith to flip liao.. people assume all waiting list items = earn money...
