lol speedy is below rrp for sureWhat's your real objective here? Everyone here is telling you that playing the AD game is a losing game. Those who go the AD route are ppl who have the capacity to spend (a lot of money, EVERY YEAR) for fun and seek thrill when they get the call. And if they don't, they are fine with it and content with the watches they bought.
There's no financially sound method to get your Explorer or ND Sub from ADs, you can't game them. Everyone's experience is different, depending on the salesperson, depending on your face, depending on god knows the magic formula of spending history required. Why subject yourself to so much uncertainty when you can just pay a bit above retail for the 2 watches that you really like? They are not trading at mindless prices so why can't you just get it and be happy?
Maybe you can try locating the address of the CEO and kneel down outside his/her house every day until you get an allocation.
Just want to lay the truth to you. Not many ways around this. Asking all these questions is not going to give you the answers you are really looking for. THERE IS NO FORMULA.
I tio tok. Early this year bought Speedy from Sincere no discount because “hot model”lol speedy is below rrp for sure
Sub ND is around 17+ for new
exp 1 36mm - 12-13k
later buy 1 speedy, thought can get allocation but in the end don't have, come in complain.
lol typical cycle.
I do understand there are no guarantees. The reason why I contemplated going to AD because I am actually interested in getting the likes of Aqua Terra, Seamaster, Maxbill, a pilot watch from IWC. So I was wondering since these watches are gettable from AD, I could build some kind of purchase history and hope that it would lead to an Explorer or a Sub. And that’s what led me to check with you guys about the purchase history I have to rack in terms of dollars. What's your real objective here? Just get from AD lor. Buying 1 watch that’s not Rolex gets you the contact of an SA who would be (hopefully) interested in servicing your account. If you can wait for your Rolex, why not.I do understand there are no guarantees. But like you said, there are too many factors in play. I guess I’ll have to relook more into the grey for the Rolex and probably choose ADs for the other brands I am interested in.
All those you want could be found easily on the Grey market for way less.I do understand there are no guarantees. I can understand where you coming from. Nitron‘s advice is rather spot on too. I agree with him when he says there is no formula nor answers you can find in a forum about how much you need to spend to get the Sub ND or Explorer from AD. However if you feel really willing to spend the money on non Rolex with the AD first and can treat anything that comes later as a bonus (if it comes) and not an outright expectation, then I guess you can still go the AD route to try if you are really curious about it and want to try also for the thrill of it. I mean, no harm to try AD first and then if you do not get anything from there, then it’s still never too late to go grey at that point in time.I do understand there are no guarantees. I kind of agree with you too. I mean, why not, just try without the expectations and then who knows he maybe able to build something from there. Then there’s some people that are just salty that others have the resources to actually be interested in other watchmakers and explore multiple avenues to purchase what they want, while they can only focus their resource and all in on a Rolex.I kind of agree with you too. if you don't mind waiting and have zero expectation then yes. make sure to ask for any possible discounts on other brands.I kind of agree with you too. I have friends that go the AD route, nothing wrong with that. But in the end, only wear Rolex/ AP/ Patek sports models. The rest collecting dust. The total spend amount is way higher than just buying these off the grey. So I ask them, why bother? Their reply "for song lor"I do understand there are no guarantees. If those are what you actually want, then i guess getting everything from grey would be overall cheaper(even including the sub ND or explorer) the experts here should be able to help back this up, since all of them are selling under retail and the rolex models u are looking for isnt even selling that much over retail to begin with.I do understand there are no guarantees. no la. more. new is about 17.5The sub ND premium is around 2,3k at most. Is it worth going through all the efforts to get this at retail, with no guarantees?
Then there’s some people that are just salty that others have the resources to actually be interested in other watchmakers and explore multiple avenues to purchase what they want, while they can only focus their resource and all in on a Rolex.
those really rich gotch $ to throw on other watches won’t be here asking “what if” or contemplating which route to go…they would already be in teh AD’s vip list just like those many tiongs living here…many of them are HG customers and they are picking up sports models almost every 2-3 weeks while those sinkies who chiu mentioned that have “resources” are contemplating which route to go and need to ask on a forum which route they should go so they can make others “salt” LOL
hao xiao wan to save face also think of better reasons la…lol “have resources” big joke…
Agree, it is more frequent now compared to 2020-2021 but also not every 2-3 weeks.HG also not every 2 -3 weeks.. it isn’t that frequent lol.. they r quite strict and controlled with allocation. Not like cortina. But we know our allocation will come within the estimated timeline
