Maybe I don’t understand high horology but those three hand basic models from VC and AP have very low specs compared to Rolex? Like no hacking seconds, low pr, 50 wr for sport model, and even low accuracy on vco. Why is that?
Because the name/history and appeal is more important than the function. You can say the same about rolex too when comparing to something like GS's spring drive movement.

I read that the finishing of VC is also superior and arguably even ahead of Patek, AP. But what kind of criteria is used to grade finishing, I have no idea too. Haha. I still have a lot to learn too from the experts here

I read about the Geneva seal. VC has it but PP has their own PP seal and not the Geneva seal. Is it the Geneva seal is more highly regarded? Can advise who else got this Geneva seal beside VC?

Actually they’re pretty similar in terms of coverage, just that PP seal covers the dial and bracelet as well lolol

This is a question that I've wondered as well but I really think its a opinion thing.

Never held a VC so maybe some of the collectors here with experience handling one can chime in whether it is really that significant? But im looking to get a 4500v or 7900v in blue eventually(more likely the 7900v).

Online opinion on GS is weird too. Everyone praise GS but when I handle it feel not so nice. The bracelet link has bad tolerance. The surface not so even for some details. Even from their online photo on official site can see gap between bracelet and lug. The sound and feel from locking/unlocking is meh. Maybe I look at the wrong stuff haha.

Accuracy wise their new 9 evo high beat is very bad based on many owner complaining online. So people are drawn to the fancy dial and history?

Another stupid question. The jlc 1000 hours standard only talk about how long the test is. Not how accurate the movement is. From online forum look like it may have very high variation from good to very bad. I don’t quite get it haha.

Do you feel the gap between the bracelet and lug unacceptable or ok? Just curious
There isn't really any noticable gaps( i assume you are referring to the snowflake's bracelet) so I would say its acceptable.

But something i dont really like about the bracelet is how the clasp doesn't taper and sit in nicely, it feels like theres a awkward bump.

As long it's within the tolerance level.
Both my jlc is as good as my rolex.

from JLC site

The “1000 hours control” test guarantees that during the first six weeks after it was manufactured your watch passed quality tests and that no hidden defect in it was detected. It is your watch's reliability rather than its accuracy that is tested by the “1000 hours control” test.
