Lol. Buy bonds better or fix d.
The moment u ask this question, means you're not ready.
Bonds? FD? You kidding right? Won't bet my eyes on that miserable few percent of interest over that few years..

Not ready? Come on, it's either I buy locally or in Swiss.

Faint. I thought everyone would be looking for Daytona, Hulk, Pepsi and Sub or other more popular models, so got high chance Explorer II not so high demand and got chance of shorter waiting time.

Do you walk in to a few ADs to put your name in the name list? Higher chance if try all the different AD? Need put money first to get your name in the list? Abit regret joining the Rolex hobby so late.

And saw some comments saying the AD will look at your watches and dressing when you enters the boutique, if I walk in with a below $1k Seiko watch then gone case liao? 😅

Pardon me if I ask too many questions, I’m totally new.
if you not in a hurry PM me, i can get it in UK for you

Actually it's the easiest to find there.
actually my experience with Switzerland is that it's not easy too. All SS got waitlist/need purchase history. My colleagues that work in Zurich can't even get a sub date himself.

They usually have half gold models though, but again they don't display it and need to talk to them first, they like you they'll offer you. Price wise also not cheaper, I think UK in general is a fair bit cheaper

----------

Hunt a stainless steel model so hard for what? Have a BNIB Datejust 41, rhodium, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet. Warranty 5 years Rolex, additional 5 years from AD (with trained Rolex technicians. Non-Singapore AD btw. But 5 years is a long time), so 10 years total. Slightly below RRP and no ******** wait list. 12.8k.

Hahahaha i wear g shock let’s walk in together.

I think wear gshock walk in no issue one ah. I literally just walked in wearing gshock, tshirt and jeans into thg ion yesterday and the sales rep served me quite sincerely imo. Talked to me for around 20 mins and placed me in list for 2 models. Felt quite genuine service from him. Before this i was also skeptical about walking into an ad too casually but yesterday's experience changed my thoughts

Looks like you've been served by the top salesman of the year. He/she is a local?

Now grey market price for popular stuff - min value on average for brand new
These can be found in carousell from non shop sellers.
U want go for shops, standby to pay abit more cause they have to pay for rent and other overhead cost.
Sub date - 15k
Sub no date - 12.8-13k
Hulk - $20.5k
Gmt batman jubilee - $19k
Gmt Pepsi - $23.5
Red Sea-Dweller 18k
James Cameron - 19.8-20k
Daytona white - 32k
Daytona black - 29-30k
Explorer 2 Polar - 12.8-13.2k
Explorer 2 black - 12.7-13k
Explorer - 9.2-9.5k
Rootbeer - 23.8-24.2k

Local AD and overseas AD no difference.
Don't be dumb and pay premium for local AD over overseas AD.
They all are distributed by rolex themselves.

All have warranty for 5 years by rolex.

India AD is just as good as SG ad.

Think global recession coming - hopefully, we can see a drop in grey market prices hahah

Are the premiums fixed for all models? Is it percentage of the retail price? If pay premium to AD means confirm get?

Depends on demand and supply

Just like how masks got fried until S$5 a piece cos there's no stock and everyone wants one...

So the more popular the model, the higher the premium :(

Can't tell for sure if he is a local or not. But he's not Chinese.

Anyway would like to find out from the experts here if the waiting list for the ADs are shared across their different boutiques or do the individual boutiques have their own seperate individual waiting lists?

The most realistic strategy to take is to assume your name in the list will never see the light of day, even within the specific boutique, let alone shared across other boutiques.

There are thousands upon thousands of buyers and a handful of watches. What would you do if you were a salesman? The most logical assumption is that you'd use the situation as leverage to attain the highest possible income.

I have my name across most boutiques locally and some abroad since 2017, and the T3 boutique people even know me by name as I always pop in when I travel. It's 2020 now. Still nothing.

I'm not counting on them, but just trying my luck. Who knows one day I might get a call.

Yeah. Most important thing is to NOT have expectations.

Putting down name per se is FOC so u can imagine so long as AD willing to take down name, lots of people will put their name down since it comes at no cost or obligation.

ADs also should do everyone a favour in that if the list is indeed a myth, then simply reject people politely so as not to waste each other’s time.

The only way it drops is when nobody is buying.
But the craze is still there and ad rather withhold stocks.
