A little more is fine but it’s like 1/3 more. That’s why I am contemplating since I can get a TT sub/Daytona(old model) at grey market cheaper than bnib hulk.

Carousell may have some good deal at times, just sharing last year the stainless steel daytona went for $15,800 (white dial) and $17,000 (Black dial) respectively.

Currently Hulk now asking between $15-18k, you should decide what other watches are available within this price range then you can chase what's value for money vs hype~ :o

Unfortunately that was prices a year plus ago.. Right now price is like 21-23k for older ones and like 24-25k for the 2015/2016 models. Damn sian how the price skyrocketed so much in such a short time

Still got chance to get below 20k now. Price tag can put 20k but if you since enough the shop owner will lower it down accordingly de. How I know this, cause i just help my friend purchase 1 early this year.

Don't let the listing price scare you away, just counter offer accordingly ba.

Below 20k probably referring to those models 10 years or older.. Likely those pieces need servicing and if done at RSC, can easily cost 1-2k which would end up making the overall purchase price about 22k also.

I'm currently eyeing a late 2015 piece but the asking price around 25k-ish which is quite crazy. Not sure if continue waiting would be a good idea as I feel that quite unlikely for price to drop, plus also cos the model is already discontinued.

Haha, if you buy from the shop, the watch should be serviced liao and usually shop warranty from 6month- 2 years.

I also know some buyers look to buy a specific year of daytona due the differences.

Go to this link and slowly read up if you are keen

Exactly bro, two reasons I'm considering the 116520 is because its discontinued and I prefer the overall look of it compared to the newer 116500. To me it somehow feels more justifiable to pay 25k for a mint condition discontinued 116520 than to pay 30k for the newer model which is still currently in production

Bro you mind pointing me in the direction where to get a white dial 116520 below 20k? I've been looking for the past 2 months and I've yet to see any selling for less than 21xxx.

Hi all,

I had finally decided to buy a local set daytona from a preowned shop, with box and authenticity card. I sent it in to RSC yesterday late afternoon as I Want to do an authentication check. I told them the time was slow. So they took my watch in. Probably in the afternoon when they call me to quote can I assume it’s 100% authentic? Or should I proceed with overhaul to have absolutely no chance of it being fake:

if it's authentic, RSC will assess and put up list of parts that needs renewing and servicing.

if it is determined fake by RSC, how will an overhaul make it become authentic? I believe RSC also don't know how to do it too as that watch is not manufactured by Rolex in the first place.

Thanks! Do u recommend to service it? Or just wear a couple of years before I send it in? The pre owned shop told me that it has been serviced recently

Bro, RSC don’t take in fake. Yours authentic.
Suggest u proceed with the service; and believe this comes with 2 years warranty.

daytona has more complex movement, get it assessed by RSC and see how it fits your servicing budget.........easily over 1K for daytona

Yeah they told me typical overhaul with no parts replacement cost $1130. Technically shouldn’t have since it’s working fine and the pre own shop seller told me it has been serviced before selling to me. The only reason I send it in, is for a piece of mind of its authenticity. Still waiting for their call hah.

No issue no need to service la... unless you use the chronograph feature every single time daily? lolx... people 5-10 years no service also working fine.

Have a piece of mind and decline the service quotation ba~
