1) If not doing OC, you do not need a Z-mobo or K-CPU. Just get a i5 4460 and a MSI B85-G41 PC Mate.

2) Errr..... that RAM has a latency of CL 11, which makes it as fast as cheap ValueRAM. Gaming RAMs sold at SLS are generally a tiny bit faster at CL9.

3) You do not need a WD black if you have a SSD. Get a WD Blue 1TB HDD or if you want a 2TB HDD, get a WD Red 2TB or a Seagate/Toshiba 2TB HDD if you want a 7200RPM HDD.

4) That GPU is more than enough to play most games at 1080p resolutions.

5) Optical drives costs about at most $25. Just get one in case you need it someday.

6) Unless you want to do Crossfire/SLI with 2+ GPUs, a 600W good quality PSU will be more than enough for your needs.

7) If not doing OC, you do not need a aftermarker CPU cooler as the Intel stock cooler will do just fine. Dump that CM Hyper 212X.

8) If you want to buy online, try MyNextCom, Video-Pro or Bizgram. They offer delivery and assembly services, have a much wider hardware selection and have cheaper prices than googoo.

The price difference for red and black is fairly low, so i opted for black. However, an SSD upgrade is super expensive, and is way out of my budget. ( 500gb SSD is going to set me back 500 bucks )
No need aim 500gb, 250gb will do.

Well its up to you thou! $200 can get a nice kb or mouse.. If computer spoil ownself research lor.. at least can educate yourself and you can know more about pc.. Branded PC all ******** one afterservice so bad then the specs give you is pangsai specs...

If something happens to my computer, i would do my own research first and try to fix it before i send it for repair. I also plan to do SLI or hardware upgrades on my own in the future. The thought of buying so many hardware and then assembling them is quite overwhelming for me, which is why i chose googoo, at least for my first time.

But, it seems ur main priority is after sales support instead of pricing since u mentioned u dun mind paying $200+ extra.

Yea, paying $200+ or so extra is okay. But i think that branded PCs are almost complete scams. They probably sell extra $500-$1000 for the specs that you get. Also, i would prefer if i can choose my own hardware. After sales support is not my priority, it's just something i can fall back on in case my PC fked up. You know, i scared my PC will totally fked up and idk what to do. I think that the support googoo claimed they can give is already enough.

I'd either have Dell NBD, ThinkStation or Corbell after-sales support :s12:

I think that he is using googoo prices, which is more inflated than the prices at some SLS shops.

Yeah, gogo is basically another Cybermind, everything at retail price.

Today, if one uses an SSD, I don't see the point using WD Black for storage. Hotter, noisier and not economical.

TS may want a 2TB HDD (storage needs?). I wondered if the performance of Seagate/Toshiba 7200RPM HDDs is worth sacrificing the reliability of WD Red 5400RPM HDDs for?

I think it might be a better idea to be able to depend on a reliable PC repair shop rather than a product warranty, especially when googoo's aftersales service quality is unknown.

With your budget of $2.2k, can get better discounts from SLS in which you may be able to throw in a 256gb ssd.

TBH, not that hard to dismantle your pc and bring to distro for rma...

Also, each part have minimum of 3 yrs warranty FOC, and you have to pay $220 more for 3 yrs on site warranty for someone to help you bring to service centre??? A bit bo hua...

Do you have a retail storefront?

Ans : No, we do not have any showrooms. We operate solely as an internet business. Without the cost of rental and more sales staff to manage the showroom and other overheads, we are able to greatly reduce our margins on every system we sell. This means lower prices for customers. Currently, we are doing quite well in this position and have no intention of setting up a showroom. Our main goal is to provide quality systems at the lowest possible prices.

And yet, all of their prices are in Recommended Retail Price with ZERO discounts in it.

Why should customers trust GooGoo Custom Computers?

Ans : GooGoo Custom Computers do not accept payment over the internet. We will only request payment after customers have inspected their goods at home. Moreover, all hardware warranties are issued by their respective manufacturer or distributor. In the worst possible scenario that GooGoo Custom Computers ceased its operation, customers can still approach hardware distributors or manufacturers regarding warranty claims. When you purchase anything from GooGoo Custom Computers, all original packages (boxes, manuals, CDs) are passed on to you. We operate with transparency so customers can rest assured when they purchase from us.

So, you pay extra ($220 for 3 yrs) for someone to help u bring to distro for RMA...

And there is a reason why no one had recommended googoo for new builds for quite some time...
