bought rm200 TnG ewallet reload pin at 7-11 and was expecting they generate few receipts like Watson but apparently they can print in one receipt~ that's more convenient than Watson~ :s22:

I finally get my TnG. Top up Rm100 using YouTrip, was charge for RM102. Not 1%, don't know why.
Next I will try using Reload PIN and transfer from Malaysia bank account.

If you have Msia bank account can just top up directly to your TnG e-wallet via Duitnow, CC or debit without additional fee~ can skip the reload pin method~

I just found out a new way to top up TnG e-wallet without any 2% convenience fee on foreign card~ 😁

Use Panda Remit, u can web or app version~

Pros:
Totally free;
The exchange rate is on par with YouTrip rate if not better;
Done online instead of buying reload pin at physical store;
The amount goes to "transferable balance" in TnG e-wallet instead of "non transferable balance" (if use reload pin method)

Cons:
Panda Remit transfer is not instant (my case i sent in Sunday afternoon and only received on today, Monday);
minimum transfer is SGD100~

can use my referral code so that you will get $6 and I'll get $10 when you made the first remittance:

Oh ya~ didn't realize it's only free one time, should have transferred a bigger amount for the first time~

Now it shows there's a $4 transfer fee~ 🤦🏻‍♀️

I read from fb, someone use paynow to transfer money to TnG via Duitnow, anyone has tried before~?

This one only works for merchant Duitnow qrcodes, it dun work with personal TnG e-wallet Duitnow qrcode~

had tried several bank apps (DBS, UOB, OCBC, Maybank & BOC) Paynow to TnG qrcode, all give invalid codes~

Dun waste ur time bro, there is no way to transfer fee free from sg to tng, even got fee free the rate will be horrendous, only my bank acct transfer r free.

After trying all the bank apps I have, it seem like only OCBC has the feature to transfer money to TnG e-wallet directly and without fee~ The only thing is minimum amount to be transferred is RM960 and the FX rate is at 3.064 (yesterday rate)~ :s22:

I'd explored other remittance services~

Western Union and Pandan Remit have free first time transfer~ second times onward there's a fee involved~

I did comparison Wise, Western Union, Pandan Remit and OCBC~ since OCBC has a minimum requirement of RM960, I set all to the same amount~ the lower the SGD, the better~ seem like Western Union is the better one~ had also tried top up SGD100 to my TnG, it was instant~ :s22:

Btw, there's also Singtel Dash by Western Union that is able to top up TnG e-wallet, same thing it has $2 fee, no free first time mentioned~

I maintain both CIMB SG bank account + CIMB MY bank account and transfer / top-up my TnG using CIMB MY debit card. Instant and fee-less. And CIMB SG -> MY internal transfer is instant and close to spot rate (to Revolut), can workaround the weekend 1% fee charge and other charges (top-up to TnG Wallet / Card)

Although there are times where Revolut transfer (direct to CIMB MY account) is offering better fx rate. Ultimately, how much are you remitting and how often to be so nitpicky, sometimes the difference is very negligible. And Revolut -> CIMB MY is not instant.

CIMB MY Debit Card also allow you to withdraw cash to use in places like car wash / F&B where they predominantly receives cash.
