Is June or Dec a better time to go Tokyo? Just Tokyo. Did Hokkaido both seasons are good as very different things to look at. But what about Tokyo?
Tokyo summer is hot n humid like sg...don't recommend.

Any recommended places for December where it's cold? And not skiing?
Almost all of Japan is cold in Dec n don't require skiing.
They have mountain sightseeing, onsens n such

So just whatever u want to do n see would be fine

A few friends also recommended winter as winter in Tokyo is not that cold like Hokkaido but nice enough. Just that days are slightly longer in summer therefore ‘more time’ to shop and eat. 😂

Is true.
June 21st is summer solstice n longest day of the year.
Dec 21st is shortest

Don't know if Tokyo had nighttime summer or winter outdoor markets though.

But eating wouldn't really make a difference as the restaurants would be open at night in summer or winter.
Only if u like outdoor eating in the summer.

I would prefer winter too as it is different from sg.
Have different seasonal food too.

Summer is too humid..walk a bit outside n sweat like crazy...

Yup. I went Hokkaido in Dec and didn’t ski either. Just enjoy the cold weather and onsen. Onsen in winter is a different experience.

ya summer might even be hotter than here 🥵
Actually it depends too. I have frens who went in early to mid June and it’s not hot yet. End of June onwards is warmer. Then July is bad. Then a few ex colleagues went in August said very very hot.

Prob not a good idea unless u don't care for the rides at all.
But if u don't want the rides, why go to those parks?

We did both parks in 1.5 days but tiring...not so fun.

Couldn't get on some rides because of long waits too.

Going to the park doesn’t mean for the rides. There are many going just to see and soak in the ambience and to shop as Disneyland Tokyo is one of the best in the world.

I would be planning a trip to Japan in coming Dec if they allow FnE by then. Quite clueless but I am flexible.
Plan to cover:
Day 1 (arrival) - shop around in Tokyo
Day 2 - Disneyland
Day 3 - Disneysea
Day 4 - Mount Fuji
Day 5 to 7 - Shop and eat in Tokyo
Day 8 to 10 - Osaka
Day 10 - Depart from Osaka
Q1 - I would like slot in Gotemba outlet mall but I wonder where to slot in?
Q2 - Should I change Osaka to Hakone?

Before your reply I was reading too. Think would give it a miss. My fren n I prefer not to rush so may end up skipping Osaka. Nothing in Osaka that I really want to see. Just go Tokyo n Yokohama.
Day 1 (arrival) - shop around in Tokyo as not sure what time is arrival yet
Day 2 - Disneyland
Day 3 - Disneysea
Day 4 to 5 - Mount Fuji ( 1n at Mount Fuji)
Day 6 - Day trip to Yokohama mostly for the cup noodles museum and ramen museum.
Day 7 to 10 - Explore, shop and eat in Tokyo
Day 10 - Depart from Tokyo.

This is a nice itinerary.
Better to include Hakone rather than Osaka.

For Hakone, it is better to just bring an overnight bag rather than full luggage.

If your disneyland/Disneysea hotel is the same as the one before/after Hakone, can ask hotel to store luggage for u.

If different hotel, can ask the hotel at disneyland/Disneysea to forward your luggage to the next hotel for a small fee.
We did this when going from Osaka to Disneyland with a stop in Hakone.
Saved us a lot of luggage carrying.

There are winter and Christmas illuminations in Tokyo. You can Google for Tokyo winter illuminations.

Can consider afternoon to evening/night trip to the Ashikaga Flower Park for the winter illumination.

Narita is pretty nice and enjoyable for a day trip. Three Storied Pagoda, Yuhi-no-Taki Falls, Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and Narita Omotesando. Can consider staying in Narita for 1st or last day if your flights are to/from Narita.

Likewise Mt Takao is a pretty easy mountiain to visit as a day trip.

Sendai, Kawasaki (world's shortest escalator, Kawasaki Daishi), Tennozu Isle, Todoroki Valley are places besides Yokohama to be explored.

Breadworks, Garden House Crafts, Aoyama Flower Market (cafe) are places you can consider visiting.

I read Hakone is interesting too. Doable in a day trip or one night? Seem like Hakone is near Mount Fuji. So should put before or after Fuji right.
