USB Ports

I recently found out that my USB devices connected to my laptop are not properly disconnected after i select the option to remove safely. Seems that power is still on after it is set to remove. Is this a common problem to anybody else ??

If there's a pop up saying that your device can be safely removed, the power on the device will still be on/ flickering but you may remove it.

Seeing the power light on on the devices is normal after the prompt that your device can be removed.

There will be no side-effect.

Did your friend remove the device safely?

Anyway, devices like external hard disk and flash disk, although not using, sometime cannot be removed properly. Removing it may cause lost of data, but in a very rare chance.
Normally it will just prompt that the device is not removed properly and get a scan - it's redundant.

Just make sure that the next time you plug in your data isn't lost.

However, it's still advisable that you remove the device after the prompt to prevent failure in the devices.

Call the service centre for help @ 6741 8181. They tech staff should able to help you on this issue. It could be, at worst, your main board has spoilt. Send it on for Main Board replacement.

Hi, currently using M800 Portege.

i found out that when i use my laptop it can get very hot and laggy at times. and when this occurs i find that even though there's heat emitting from the vents on the left hand side, it doesnt feel as though the fan is working. i will need to reboot for the fan to activate and then the laptop gets gradually cooler. anyone else have this error? is this a power saving feature or??

hi all, currently using toshiba m700 for about a year now,

theres the annoying problem with my comp is that the pen slot is stuck (or extremely hard to push in to be exect)... i suspect that something is blocking it but i somehow can't... so i guess somehow some bump caused the casing to bend inwards slightly, thus being too small in diameter to fit the pen

anyone knows a cheeap solution to fix the slot? or really must change the entire casing?

o ya anyone else knows how much a tablet pen costs? mine is quite screwed

hi all!

got my satellite m300 last week & the problem of the lappy automatically on a few seconds after shutting down is getting irritating. is there any way to solve this? or do i have to bring down to their service centre or something?
