Not sure if it's been mentioned or shared before but I noticed that there was a firmware update awhile ago and with that, there is now a built in speedtest which can be run directly from the EB810V or initiated from the aginet app.

gurus, i have a serious issue here. i have subscribe to the 5gbps plan and purchased 2 x EB810v. one of it was placed in the db box while the other was placed in my middle bedroom (connected to the 10gb port via cable), next to master bedroom. im staying in 5room bto flat.

i had issues in getting stable wifi signal. the wifi signal kept dropping and reconnect on its own. the only configurations i did was to disable the MLO as i dont have any wifi 7 enabled device. the rest of the settings remain default. worst still, the speedtest in my mbr is pathetic.. like less than 5mbps. standing infront of router i could hit 600mbps which is still a far cry from the subscribed 5gbps.

can someone please help me on this?

Also not sure why i am not able to login to the web interface. Initially i am able to but not now. The Aginet app often prompt that it couldnt find my network or network unstable. Have done factory reset and reset up. Work fine initially but this morning the whole thing went chaos again zzzz.

For those who have the EB810V as main router and hidden in the db, does it run hot?

If your bedroom is only having 5mbps speedtest result. I think the 2nd unit is way too far from your main unit. What is the connection between the 2 eb810v? Wireless or wired backhaul.

restarting will temporarily resolve the issue by making the 2.4Ghz reappear, but it will disappear again after a while (like 1 or 2 days). Then I have to restart again which is frustrating.

Anyway now changed a new channel 1, still monitoring.

If it's the StarHub version of EB810v that has issue, they can change for me right?
@Eternit Hi seems like I also having the issue with StarHub EB810v 2.4Ghz WiFi but just only the smart camera will disconnect suddenly, your case is 2.4Ghz SSiD totally disappear and couldn't find it even with the phone or laptop WiFi settings?

OK, I will discover the issue everytime when my cameras stopped working. Then I will see what happen by looking at my wireless network, and then I won't see 2.4 Ghz there, so i deduce that it's because it disappeared that causes the cameras to stop working. When I restart network, 2.4Ghz reappears, then the cameras are back.

Recently I tried turning off MLO band. then wifi channel for 2.4Ghz tune to channel 2. Since then it haven't drop since. You can try.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try to do the same setup. So far this setup will not let the 2.4Ghz WiFi down?

YMMV, depending on the shop and staff.

The official policy is that you need to be a Starhub 5Gbps/10Gbps customer to be able to purchase HB710 at S$192 cash and carry, or EB810v at S$360 cash and carry.

But the reports here say some shops do not check the status of the customers. So you can try your luck.

I know Starhub Jurong Point shop seems to check if you are at least a Starhub Fibre Broadband customer, but not necessary to be using 5Gbps/10Gbps plan.

Thank you for the info. I will try my luck then.

Anyone have both the EB810v and BE805? It seems like the BE805 have more internal antenna (10 vs 8), just wondering which of these two have better range?

Unlikely people will have both Archer BE805 (mainly M1 or MR users) and EB810v (Starhub).

They should be pretty much the same -- the number of internal antenna will probably not make much differences. EB810v is very much similar to Archer BE800, Archer BE805 is the little brother of Archer BE800 (with a bit lower spec and lower cost).

Rather you should post your floor plan, FTP and Room LAN ports locations (if any) and intended placement of the router, then see if it is feasible to cover the fulll flat with a single router or not. Floor Plan and Router Placement are both important. Some floor plans make it nearly impossible to have good 5GHz coverage with single router.

My experience with Archer BE805 says it has similar WiFi coverage as my Asus RT-AX86U and I consider the coverage as pretty good.

Hi thanks for replying.
My house floorplan is like this:

Right now I'm considering going with MR (BE805) or Starhub (EB810v). I'm quite interested in using the IoT network but read that it doesn't work over Easy Mesh so I was wondering if either one of those routers will be able to provide whole home coverage.
