I just got this routers with Singtel 10GBPS. I now seems to be unable to connect my printer via AirPrint - cannot find. I have HP Office Jet Pro 9010. I used to be able to connect via my old setup netgear Orbi.

I have tried to keep my iphone and printer on same network and even try to separate the band by using both 5ghz also cannot work.

Strangely, i can connect via WIFI between PC and Printer..... Only issue is Airprint for my Apple products

Can anyone help?

Looks like a very common problem for TP-Link routers and Airprint.

How do you connect the printer? Wired connection to HB810 or to the ONR?

Some potential troubleshooting ideas:
1) make sure your HB810 is running in AP mode and not router mode.
2) enable IGMP snooping in your HB810 router (?)
3) create a 2.4GHz only guest network and use that one for AirPrint.

I will suggest you just keep the Netgear Orbi if you still cannot get it to work.

Singtel Technician came. Strange is now i need to set my printer to the lowest band 2.4ghz and all Apple gadget to 5ghz. Asked to disabled the Band Steering. SO it works.. cannot same band, or printer band is higher than apple gadgets..... I dont get this issue on NetGear Router.
Heard that TP link router has issues with Apple compatibility - esp WIFI 7 and also 6Ghz also cannot work well on apple.
Also Aginet update check is useless. Was told to manually check on Singtel website for firmware upgrade. I just dont understand why need this useless Aginet......

For the FW update, it is probably the arrangement between Singtel and TP-Link. Apparently Singtel wants to control the FW updates of Singtel issued routers.

FYI: Starhub issued EB810v/HB710/HB410 allows FW updates using Web GUI or Aginet app.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/how-to-download-latest-firmware
1) Via My Singtel app (recommended by Singtel)
2) Manual update

I too had the issue of this HB810 with HomeKit products. Basically, airprint, airplay, homekit products, need to connect to the 2.4g Ghz band.

Anyone knows how to resolve the issue of accessing LAN resources via HB810? I have my Playstation 5 connected via ethernet, but remote play on other device that connects to via WIFI cannot find the Playstation 5. Currently, HB810 is set in the Router Mode.

Your PS5 is connected to the ONR or the HB810?
Try to set up in AP mode to see it that helps.

I will suggest you contact TP-Link for help. I do not think Singtel support is able to help for this more advanced issue. TP-Link community is good but they may not be able to support Service Provider models like HB810 as well as the consumer Archer/Deco models.

1) For any issues regarding the router within the warranty period, please contact TP-Link at:

2) Or you can post your question in TP-Link community.

Thank you for the replies and help! Updated the Firmware and everything is working super well.

My speaker (connected to an WIFI extender) could even be airplayed from the router's WIFI connection.

Also, I actually set it to Router Mode, instead of AP Mode. Not gonna mess with it anymore.

For future reference, PS5 is connected to HB810 via PowerLine Ethernet Plug. It works now after the firmware update.

Hi all, i am using the HB810 as my main router now. However the signal is bad and not able to fill my 5rm HDB. thinking of purchasing another to make it a mesh network but it’s kinda costly to pay for another node.

am i able to buy the lower version HB710 to perform this access point function? is there any downsides to it?

Thinking of expanding my 2 piece HB810 mesh to a 3 or 4 piece HB810 mesh.

Would i see a significant drop in speed or would it be minimal? All of them connected via wireless backhaul on Singtel 10gbps

Hi everyone, I'm having issues with my HB810 and also EB810v, my PS5 Pro is connected via Ethernet to HB810 (in my room, wired backhaul), working fine. EB810v is in living as main router, both in AP mode. When I tried using wireless, it's unable to connect to both router's Wifi 7 6ghz band, 5ghz connects without any issues though. Does anyone encounter same problem or knows why? Thank you in advance for any insights. 🙏🙂

It seems to me that PS5 Pro WiFi 7 support is broken as of now with many WiFi 7 routers, based on the reports from Internet.

You may want to confirm with Sony.

You can also check with TP-Link Singapore.

i rather use Wired-Connection to the PS5 Pro, even though it 'supports' WiFi-7...

Hi can HB810 connect with any WiFi extender? Or can only get another HB810 to extend the coverage?

Appreciate your kind advice

It should work, but not supported by either Singtel (HB810) or Starhub (HB710).

If you want the support, you should go with EB810v + HB710 (both from Starhub).
Tp link customer support told me is compatible. I think i will give it a try and update here later
