Anyone using TPLink M7650 mifi with the TPG sim? I'm getting only 60'ish Kbps via the mifi, but no issues streaming 1080p YouTube vids if sim card is directly in my phone

Anyone can advise on Oppo Phone like R7, mine is a export set, TPG line can't seems to work at all. No network despite following the settings as per advice by TPG. My bro's Huawei Mate 20X works but network goes on & off.

Don't need such a expensive phone to work with TPG. Mi Mix 2 works fine too.

Which variant u have? As per gsmarena, if US variant, it does not support tpg bands 8 and 40.

If global or taiwan variant, input apn?

Mine was a gift, bought frm China. My bro'Oppo F5 export model frm China also faces the same issue.

As far as I know, iphone not supported for TPG voice calls yet. Need to use data call.

Volte is nv stable. I use iPhone with singtel line I also received intermittent sound from another party. So I just off it.

I use M1 VoLTE on iPhone 6S / Redmi Note 4 MTK / Mi Mix 2 and no problems unless reception is weak (SRVCC to 3G typically).

Even travel on train above ground or inside train tunnel have almost no issues.

iOS doesn't have VoLTE for TPG yet. There's no carrier profile implemented.

That's why it sucks.

I think they deliberately gimp their speeds to prevent people from using it excessively. Transfering my TPG sim from my mobile WiFI router to my phone makes speed go back to normal for 5 minutes after which it drops back to 0.5ish Mbps which is what I usually get on my huawei 4G router

It's a free trial anyway and it's common to limit speed for unlimited data plan.

The specification say each day 2G, after 2G is capped at 100M. Unless term and condition changed. They cannot use free trial as a reason.

I just recently got my TPG trial SIM card. Download speeds are pretty OK. In the MRT (circle line and downtown line) I couldn't get any signal. But I noticed that even when signal (and download speed) is OK, the upload speed is terrible. Running speedtest app, I normally get like 0.15 Mbps, and towards the end of the test it would reach about 2.8 Mbps. But it clearly is asymmetric as the download is consistently around 22 to 50 Mbps.

Anybody else experience this with TPG?

TPG doesn't have reception in the tunnels. It's already stated in the CIS.

Have you run *#*#86583#*#* code using dialer to disable VoLTE carrier check?

If it doesn't work, try adding IMS access point.

I am on MIUI 10.2 and VoLTE works okay.

Collected a simcard this afternoon. Didnt receive any activation email. The account page still shows pending activation. And inactive.

Anyone here encounter this problem before? Need to go down and reactivate or can email them to do it at the backend?

Thanks the IMS access point worked for VOLTE. But now I have another problem where the TPG sim card I have becomes deactivated when I tried to assign it for Dial and my second sim card Circles for Internet. Do you have the same problem?
