means TPG detected it being used in a MiFi/Router and throttled the speed.

I am not sure whether does TPG throttled the speed.
In the first place we are given 2GB daily only..
So what if we use a hotspot and connect 5 devices.
We still only can use 2GB of 4G speed.

many MiFi users already posted their experience about throttled speed. which resumed back to normal after it's inserted back into a mobile phone.

Thanks for the info.
Does it means if we hotspot from a phone and speed will not be throttled?

When i messaged TPG on FB, they told me that they don't recommend their customers to buy the phones that are on their list of supported phone models as they are working on expanding their supported devices as they expect more handsets to be supported in the near future.. meanwhile they encourage customers customers with handsets not listed to use popular apps such as Whatsapp to make calls over the internet.

I went on to ask them y we shouldn't buy those phone models that are in their list.. and am waiting for their reply.. this is queer isn't it? :s22:

Not tested by them! VoLTE is one key factor.

trial period, so they probably want to know which unsupported phones are not working so they can work on those phones.

They have replied me.. they just said that they are still trying to expand their list of supported handsets.. they dun wan customers to spend money just to buy handsets for making calls on their VoLTE network..

not all VoLTE-enabled phones can make calls with TPG. refer to the list of supported phone models provided by TPG.. anything that works outside that list would be a bonus.

My huawei P20 can make VoLTE call,
My Mi 6 cannot make VoLTE call
My S6 cannot make VoLTE call
My S7 cannot make VoLTE call

Interestingly they can all received call from the P20 VoLTE call.

same. signal at airport (and while on the road on the way to the airport) is spotty, sometimes OK, most of the time it's not. I guess TPG is still in alpha stage ;)
