back to topic, this is not the reason why i'm mildly aggravated with the shop... it's the fact that a manufacturer defect is staring them in the face and they do not change it, but just give you hollow assurances that it will work...

Last time very long ago me ask for their DFI dk-x4-t2rs mobo, they show me their last piece.
The condition of package super cui, end up me went to video pro buy.

But bad package condition doesn't mean item is spoilt though

^ price difference due to the length of warranty i think. Fuwell got give 30 days 1-1 exchange, whereas pcthemes only 10 days. Yilong is a nice guy, juts bought from him 1 set but havent opened yet coz having exam

it doesn't matter as long as u get all the parts u need. If one shop doesn't have the part u need then go other shops then buy it and build on your own.

Usually I'll prefer to goto Tradepac.As they give gd discount and I've had only 1 tiny problem with a pc part but otherwise, things are good. (working fine)
But if they don't have certain parts like casing, then I'll goto PCthemes and other shops

which of these 2 shops will assemble for free?

One of the reason they don't install like this is because in case the psu or hdd fail during their installation.

From a retailer's perspective it makes more sense to buy each item from the shop in SLS that offers the lowest price, IF your aim is to save $. The grand sum saved from this compared to buying everything at 1 shop and hoping for a discount, will be higher and guaranteed.

However, if what you prefer to save is TIME (which equates to $ as well), it makes more sense to shop with 1 retailer, AND 1 distributor. The distributor is important as once it's sold, the remaining 3-5 years' assurance is with the distro not the retailer and since TIME = $, RMA'ing ur entire box maybe simpler and faster than RMA'ing a single component.

i am a noob at assembling a rig so would like to ask fellow forummers here that anyone knows if PCT or Tradepac provides installation of additional fans / hsf / self-provided hardwares if buy full rig from them and paid for assembly?

If buy aftermarket hsf from them the thermal paste is self-provide or come with purchased hardware? Watch youtube on installation earlier lol.

Appreciate advice from customers whom have experienced their service or knows any such info.

Yes both PCT and TP provides svc at a small charge of $10 plus.

For casing fans,you can do on your own,jus screw it to the casing.

For HSF,can youtube and follow the manual guide in the hsf box,quite simple.

If buy DIY,better to learn afew things cos v troublesome to bring your whole rig down to SLS in future to do smth

I still prefer TradePac as I think its products are slightly cheaper and I am quite patient. If you are impatient, I think you can choose PC Themes instead.

I think my only challenge is that i duno where the wires are supposed to be connected to and worry that i connect the items to the wrong pin and cause damage. The only hardware in the PC i can install i guess its only RAM and GPU becoz thats really like remove and install i cant go wrong.

If for a fee of $10 PCT or TP can assemble for me i think its fair ba. But i will go google for a full dummy guide first maybe it isnt as difficult as i assume.

The casing fans sounds like quite simple from what you describe i think i just buy as necessary and install on my own. The HSF need to install prior to mounting the mobo to the case right? i watch the tuto vids seems like it.

This thread is very helpful to me for my coming purchase next month and i appreciate and thank all whom feedback and assisted me in my queries.
