It was a returned card. Previous buyer maybe dmg it. Outside wrap was opened, static bag seal was opened. But he got it for $419. Powercolour r9 280x.

Went to my house to test, cui. BF4 at 60fps at ultra with no AA. Dun feel like 60fps, felt like 30-40. Benchmarks gt problem also.

So, went back to change. They said they dun sell second hand stuff. Whatever. lady came back with brand new set and gave us. Went back to my house and tested BF4 again. Ultra at 70+fps feels like 70+fps.

So, take your chance. Maybe can buy small items that have plastic seal.

Not necessary must only buy things with seal. My point is, just avoid that shop, as well as Videopro. Although i bought my Logitech G400 from there. Cant bargain, but at least its factory sealed, so cant be tampered.

Some do. All MSI graphic card boxes I saw at SLS this and last year had broken seals. Though, the static bags were still sealed.

Not necessary must only buy things with seal. My point is, just avoid that shop, as well as Videopro. Although i bought my Logitech G400 from there. Cant bargain, but at least its factory sealed, so cant be tampered.

I didn't know Videopro should be avoided. Almost bough two fans there last year...

like dat how we know if it is a returned unit for gfx or mobo? no proof or indication it was opened or used before.

To be broken by distro is normal if it happens. Normally, distro will remove stock seal and replace with own/identical seal. Coming from working at a place handling Samsung phones

Last time wen i was hunting for arc midi r2, i went down to ask every shop. All OOS except for videopro. Reason was that they were selling at $179, $50 higher than RRP of $129.

Put the thing into the thing. Very do-able unless you are extremely tight for time to do other stuff

Everybody have to start from somewhere. Its not nuclear science. Its pretty much simpler as compared to p1 p2 p3 or even p4 era.

DIY gives you more benefits than you let the shop do it for you.

- You get to know your stuffs better
- You get to know how to perform simple troubleshooting your own PC when there is a fault
- You get the satisfaction when you build it yourself
- You get the shiokness feel when you first turn on the PC and it is working
- You get to do your own wire management better than allowing others to do it for you.

Well a brief summary these are the parts you need to build a PC

1. Motherboard
2. CPU
3. GPU (Optional)
4. PSU
5. RAM
6. ODD (Optional)
7. Storage Media (HDD/SSD)
8. CPU Cooler
9. Case

thats about it from the top of my head.

First assemble your pieces on your motherboard. Go youtube search how to insert CPU into the Mobo be careful with the pins must align carefully. Then install the cpu cooler on top using their instructions

Then slot in your ram on the same colour slots

Then slot in your GPU below

then use your PSU screw in and screw in your mobo to your case.

One big cable 24pin to motherboard, one 8 pin for cpu, gpu depends but just plug in the matching cables.

Think of it as lego but expensive
