Read through the pages, and so I gathered the following.

Crowd is there daily, if not holiday/peak, it's just less crazy in the queue timings.
Express is optional, timing no idea what is that yet. Am going mid-jan, hopefully the crowd is more manageable.

So I can purchase a 1 day USJ osaka pass ~ $100. Harry potter either go earlier abit and chiong for first ride, or wait till evening. The rest OTOT. anything else?

Mid-Jan is cold. Following the crowd calendar for disney resorts, it should be lesser crowds compared to Dec. If you're going on weekdays, no need to upgrade for express.

For Harry Potter, we took 2 rides back to back, with almost no waiting time in the evenings. Same goes for the roller coasters. It was around 7:30 I think. The only time we waited was the minion ride for 45mins.

I bought usj ticket from Changi recommends

The actual ticket they provide shows the ticket is valid for 6 months

But after checking with Changi recommend via email, they says it’s only valid on the day I selected when buying

Which is the truth? Asking cause I want to enter 1 day later as there is a ride closure on my original planned date

For me being cheapo, I just bought twilight ticket and went straight to q for Harry Potter. Easy.

Just need to go after 3pm and say twilight at the ticket counter.

My logic is 6hrs would be more than enough for 1 ride and it is.

Used money saved for spiderman merch.

Twilight is a single ride ticket? And for Harry Potter only? How much is that? And only purchase on the spot?

Twilight is discounted ticket for USJ entry after 3pm. Ard 6700 yen. Can purchase on the spot or through their online japanese ticketing. It's good for as many rides as you can squeeze before park closing time. Some days can close as late as 9.30pm depending on season.

Try this website for crowd calendar: http://www15.plala.or.jp/gcap/usj/

However, personal experience is that other than using the crowd calendar and estimate potential crowd through the types of USJ tickets required to enter the park, try checking the price for early entry or express pass. I went on two consecutive days and the day where the early entry and entry pass was cheaper, the queues for rides were significantly shorter.

The queue time tends to be longest during late morning to mid-afternoon. If your energy level can last for a long day, try entering the park early and leave when it closes. Spend the mid-day period eating, resting or go for rides/shows with less demand. Towards the end of the day (after 7pm), even though it mentions 10 - 20 min for the Harry Potter, I was able to walk right into the ride after safe-keeping my bag.

So the changi recommends usj ticket is 6 month open dated afterall... the ticket shows 6 months validity. Alright CR insisted that it's a fixed date pass, even after clarifying via email, I took a risk n went on a different day then I originally specified. The gates opened without any issues

Not all can stomach thrilling rides and you wouldn't want to spoil your day with nauseous feel

Intend to go USJ beginning of comimg march. I checked that in order to visit super Mario World. We need to have a area time entry e ticket. Any ideas how it works exactly ? I download the apps and it only allow to "purchase" right on the USJ location.

My main aim is Harry Potter and spiderman and of coz SMW. I don't wish to spend that much on a express pass since I will do there during the off peak season.

Not too sure either, but it seems like express pass 4 might be the best option
