Upon further checking in USJ's website @ https://www.usjticketing.com/expressPass

So I guess its like a hit-and-miss thing
Planning a trip there in April, so keen in USJ's process too xD

Just to share my 2 days USJ experience in Dec 2022, Super Nintendo World was jam packed from morning till late, so it may be unlikely that you will be able to enter SNW without a timed entry ticket.

On the other hand, I was able to enter Harry Potter without flashing my timed entry ticket in the evening.

And being there for 2 days (entering SNW at different time of both days), I realized that the other areas were not very crowded which led me to believe that the bulk of the crowd has been pulled into SNW.

Might want to take into your consideration for your planning.

https://tdrexplorer.com/super-ninte...ll need a free,Timed Entry and Standby Entry.
I just check. No need to pay. Is free. But must apply the USJ app or venting machine there.

The express pass is basically let u go SMW anytime without timed enty tickets.
just to clarify. express pass comes with timed entry ticket. you can't enter "anytime" SNW with express pass.

Also just to share, USJ have this birthday promo pricing (500 yen cheaper).
https://www.usj.co.jp/ticket/birthday/
Though the wakuwari discount (20%) seems to be discontinued, just wanted to share my booking experience on USJ website, in case you faced similar issues.

Appreciate the info, for timed entry ticket we aren't able to select the time we wanna go in right?
Asking because I read that its nicer at night, but then would the ride still be available during then?

If you buy the express pass through USJ's website, you can select the timing (provided it is still available; not taken up).
If your express pass has entry to both SNW and Harry Potter, then the selection comes from a variety of combinations (eg. SNW in the morn, then Harry Potter in the evening, vice versa etc).

If you buy through Klook, the timing for the timed entry tix will be decided by Klook (meaning you are unable to choose; as stated in their T&Cs).

For both SNW and Harry Potter, both day and night have their charms.
In terms of crowd, SNW is packed whether it is day or night. Rides will run till USJ closes.
For reference, Mario Kart ride is consistently 110-120 mins wait (for non-express pass).
Harry Potter wasn't that crowded though.

Do take note of the operating hours which can affect your strategy.
The closing time can range from 7pm to 10pm, which you can check on USJ website.

According to usj ticketing site

●We apologize that currently Visa and Mastercard credit cards issued outside Japan are not available until further notice.

Very useful info.
Btw it seems like Klook just increased their prices for USJ express passes :(
Edit: Prices seem similar, saw the wrong prices

See my findings/experience regarding purchase of the tix.

Ways to buy USJ Tix
  1. If you can find someone to make in-person payment for you at Japan's convenience store, you can then buy through USJ japan website.
  2. If not, if you have Apple Pay, you can buy through USJ english website (seems to be working based on online comments)
  3. Else, buy through 3rd party vendor (eg. Klook etc).
    1. Setback is with the inability to choose timing for timed entry tixs if you buy express pass
      1. Note that there are combinations where timed entry to both SNW and Harry Potter are just hours apart. Not that optimal.

Just returned from usj. Bought tickets through klook but didn't buy express pass.

No entry pass needed for Harry Potter today. I got the entry pass for SNW through the app for 13.30. booked around 9+.

Can we dabao lunch in?
No.

  • Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring food and drinks into the park?

Please refrain from bringing food or drinks into the park. Please use the free picnic areas near the parking lot if you've brought food and drinks. Contained water may be brought inside of park.

There's security checks before entry area.

Queues in USJ are inevitable just a matter of long or short.

peak period not easy to find indoor sitting. Think that's reason having signs to look seats before buying food. Unless willing to sit outside depending on season. Right now it's too cold.
