not worthwhile for those that drive. uobOne has petrol rebates, so does amex tcb. This 0.2% cant cover the loss of petrol rebates. srly this 0.2% is really small in absolute terms when you do the calc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can stack petrol discount with the cashback from this card right? Doesn't really apply to SPC because Amex True Cashback has the highest cashback for that, but Shell?

I'm using POSB everyday for SPC petrol discounts/rebates as well as groceries at Shengshiong. I'm replacing my Standchart unlimited cashback for this as its an upgrade as well as its able to top-up the grabpay to pay for gov/bills related and receive grab points too.. Not gonna keep more than these 2 cards tbh.

Petrol rebates for AmEx TCB is only applicable for 70000 cards which you need to apply for it.

Answer: Use the UOB Absolute card to top up GrabPay (1.7% rebate), then use GrabPay Mastercard to pay anybody that accepts Mastercard, with GrabRewards points. If you insist on a cardless mobile payment then use GrabPay QR or GrabPay Mastercard with Samsung Pay. With Samsung Pay you get some Samsung points, too. (Or use Standard Chartered’s Spree Visa directly with Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay for a flat 2.0% rebate on the first S$3,000 per billing cycle.)

If you use GrabPay Mastercard to pay your monthly mobile phone bill, you get a bit of AIG mobile phone insurance, too.

Must charge at least $3000 by 31 July 2021 to get the extra 3.3% cashback. If you apply late, for example in July 2021 and don't have enough time to charge least $3000, you will not receive the extra 3.3% cashback. It works differently from the The American Express® True Cashback Card Welcome bonus of 3% Cashback on up to a total of S$5,000 spend in your first 6 months.

Don't get confused!;)
