Hi. I went to UOB to enquire about this HY account. The UOB guy told me I have to sign a 3 months term period, and I will not have 1.45% if I withdraw balance to less than $350000 ie. I'll not get 1.45% from the start. This sounds like a FD of 3 months to me. Is this how this account works? The interest payment is withheld till end of the 3 months?

3 month period is e rolling period of e promo..means for next 3 month you can get 1.45%..doesnt mean u cant withdraw anyting

this acct is more for those with spare cash >350k.if lets say u place in 500k..u can withdraw any amt anytime..as long as it dont fall below 350k u can get the 1.45% interest..so you get the liquidity..and at same time you get preferential rates..v good for those who are looking for opportunistic investments

interest given at end of each month

thanks for confirming

i had called uob privi hotline, the lady said 50k daily limit. i asked her 3 times & she insisted its 50k :s22: cannot tahan.

i find that most cso, counter staff or even rm are unsure about this as they seldom do the transaction themselves

This is correct. But each Fast transfer limit is $50k.
So, you have to transfer twice, i.e. Transfer 50k first, then do another transfer of 50k again.

Look at the website heading. When your website interface change, it means you are upgraded and can change to 100k

The new UOB internet banking don't have Privilege Logo at the website heading, only old Internet banking have

The only way to check yourself fall under which segment is using the ATM machine, different segment have different background color.

This is true. Also watch out their new interface with internet banking. Seem lots of bugs.
