Depends on two things:
1) The organisation which processes your application to pay your bills by GIRO
2) UOB.

Nobody knows what (1) is because there are so many different organisations out there.

Hi all, have you notice there is a TOTAL EARMARK in your bank acccount? Is that the cumulative interest that we will earn? Strange because i only see $50 there. does it mean i will not get the 14x interest this month? i have more than 75k as at 1 Aug.

$148 bonus interest is in. Plus the base interest, total is $151.

Not bad.

Also, they will send u letter to inform u if giro is not successful. All the 3 giros I set up with ocbc/citi were unsuccessful coz I filled up with online signature. So have to re-sign and send back. This month cannot get the add int liao

Thanks Trazora!
I called in and the cso said my statement date is 13th. I changed to month end.

Which abit confusing now because my current statement will be from 13th Aug to 30th sept.

The cso said quarterly rebate is based on spending month though? Which kinda conflicted with the t&c.

Regardless, Heng this is my first month! Just need to make sure gg forward spend $500 per month ok liao

You can call in to check on your statement date, not the same for everyone. Your first quarterly rebate should be based on spending on your statement generated in Aug, Sep, Oct. Will need to know your statement date to see you are on track to fulfil card spend for 3 months or 2 months (get 2/3 of the quarterly rebate for first quarter)

No idea what the cso meant by "quarterly rebate is based on spending month".

Did you confirm with CSO if 13th Aug to 30 Sep is the 2nd month, so eligible spending posted in this period are counted to the 2nd month? Understand you already met the $500 spend between 20th to end of Aug, so maybe you should try reach the $1000 or $2000 tier since you need to clock $500 for the bonus interest anyway.

Yup man. Confused. I got my card on 13th Aug though, which means 13th Aug to 30th sept is month 1? But she said go by months and the quarters had been fixed. I guess no matter how I spend, the rebate will be pro-rated to 2 months.

Right, thanks for your advice. I will definitely clock $1k first. At least can get uob interest. Need more planning coz I worried next month I don’t have $2k spending! 😂

Aug statement is 1st month, which already passed by the time u received the card. So should be going for prorated 2/3 rebate now.

CSO told you your statement date was 13th or u assumed 13th because you received card on 13th. Statement date not dependent on when u received card.

Think you should call again if you have any doubts

$151.98 for 31 days August for bonus interest at $75000. The rest is the base interest on your bank account regardless of $75k or more

My 75k untouched from 1-31Aug
I got total 155.16 interest. Is that correct?
