Hello there,

New to giro payments and hope to get a noob question answered. Thanks in advance!

If setup is done to pay my UOB credit card bill in full through giro and I have already paid a bulk of the outstanding amount, $1900 out of $2000, through AXS and only $100 is left unpaid, will giro still be triggered to settle that $100? Or will giro deduct the full $2000?

Giro deduct $100 if the $1900 was paid a few days before

Can check if giro payment to pay my education loan at other bank is counted as one giro transaction?

And is there any minimum amount for the giro transaction to be counted?

Hi guys, am relatively new to all these giro transactions. In the AIA Interbank Giro form I am able to write multiple policy numbers.

Assuming I have two policies, if i write both policy numbers in a single interbank giro form, will the monthly insurance premium be combined and considered as 1 giro transaction? Which means that in order for it to be considered as 2 different giro transactions, I have to submit two giro forms with a single policy number in each form, OR will it be deducted separately and count as 2 giro transactions?

Thank you!

Just submit 1 form
It’ll consider as 2 GIRO translations

I think it depends on the insurance company and the premiums due date. I have 2 policies with the same insurance company and the premium due date is the same day. It is reflected in my bank account as single GIRO lump sum deduction

Hello, have been reading through the forum and just to consolidate and make it clear the difference between UOB One Account Interest and UOB One Card Rebates.

Account Interest:
3 Giro transactions to Account (not CC)
- ok to link it to institutions in the exclusion list for UOB One card.
$500 Credit Card Spend.

For this im doing:
- IRAS
- Keppel Electric
- Town Council

Card Rebates:
5 Credit Card transactions - $500/$1k/$2k
(institutions in the exclusion list does not count into the transaction count or the total expenditure)

For this im doing GIRO for
- M1 Bill
- Insurance
- SP utilities bill (additional rebate)

And lastly, auto-topup of Grab Credits using this card (additional rebate)

all the experts correct me i made any mistakes. otherwise, this should be helpful.

The 3 giro can be cc right?

Anyway put more giro as backup. In case some months don’t have giro deductions.

Would applying giro payment for uob one cc count as well?

Since cc bills cant be paid with grabpay at axs, would it be a better idea to giro cc bills instead?

Also anyone applied giro to pay cc of other banks from uob one account?

Another thing to note is that since they calculate using MAB, got to top back the bill amount to balance out ur funds to optimise the interest.

Put the lowest bill in your UOB one account for giro.

Hi all, a question, how do i set some notifications (what notification are possible?) after my GIRO already takes place?

A lot of times, i only came to know the next day after i login manually to check my UOB one account. As a result, My One account interest's is not the maximized. :(

Use your uob one card to giro the keppel electric bill to get 5% rebate. Set up giro to pay your uob one card bill to make up for the 3rd giro transaction.

Don’t think there are any notifications about pending Giro transactions. There are 2-3 ways about it:

1. Look at past month Giro transactions and transfer in the sum 1-2 days or on the same day as the Giro transaction (this is what I do)

2. After the Giro transaction is recorded on the next day, transfer in double the Giro amount to hit the max account of UOB One account. Then transfer the extra amount out on the next day. This will ensure the average UOB One balance remains at the max amount.

If your Giro amount is $100, your account will be less $100 from max amount for interest. transfer in $200 the next day from Giro debit so average account balance remains at max amount. Then transfer out the additional $100 on the third day.
