Usually what kind of insurance can use credit to pay?

That time I tried to pay my ntuc income insurance using CC, they say not allowed

More importantly which insurance company. Prudential premiums can be paid using credit card from selected banks via pruaccess. Most other insurance company can be paid via ipaymy/cardup which incur fees but may get rebate/points on some cards. Can also pay via AXS app using some cards, no fees but no rebate/points.

Travel and automobile policies usually can be paid using credit card online.

Already know this UOB strategy. They try to sell you an ILP from their buddy Prudential like PruSave, PruWealth or other.

They pretend it's a savings of 500 dollars a months, but in reality it is locked (big surrender penalty) and with mostly not guaranteed returns (don't get fooled by the over optimistic projections that the sales(wo)man will give you, in the end it's really just an ILP with few guaranteed returns and a lot of non-guaranteed returns they might or might not fulfill).

also their logic that by default they will arrange to charge the $500 monthly insurance premium your Debit card (where u dont get any rebate) ... instead of your One CC :s22:

Not to mention that need 5 x cc transactions. Either they recommend u sign up 5 x plan with premium $100 per month or u got to clock the remaining 4 urself.

Yes this is exactly what I experienced 3 years ago when opening a new account at UOB, newbie banker trying to sell ILP product as a "savings plan". I personally think this should be forbidden because it is very misleading for common people.

They tried again with my wife when she sat down with RM for some other business. Always the same narrative (500 dollars a month savings, unlock UOB one bonus interest and in 20, 30 years you'll get BIG dollars yay!!!), failing to mention that it is in fact an ILP...

I was planning to set it up for future crediting of salary (in 6 months time?). But i guess for now its just to keep the minimum balance. If I keep a zero balance, is it possible for them to charge a $5 fee till it goes negative? Haha.

Hi guys just wanted to check what's the best way to maximise my payments.

I currently use uob one card as well as uob priv miles. Aim is to clock $500 spending one first to unlock higher interest tier as well as the $50 cashback before using my miles card for everything else.

So would like to find our what counts as one card spending and what counts as miles card spending? Phone bill, insurance, sp Bill's etc? Thanks!

For you guys who have been with UOB One account for a few years, in your experience, has UOB been quick to change the t&C or interest rates over the years?

I googled and only found the announcement where they increased the interest rate for 75k tier

Sign up based on current T&C to enjoy the privileges.

You cannot predict the change in T&C.

If they change, then you can decide to act accordingly or jump.

I have been with UOB One for 2-3 years I think.
