Hi guys just wanted to check what's the best way to maximise my payments.

I currently use uob one card as well as uob priv miles. Aim is to clock $500 spending one first to unlock higher interest tier as well as the $50 cashback before using my miles card for everything else.

So would like to find our what counts as one card spending and what counts as miles card spending? Phone bill, insurance, sp Bill's etc? Thanks!

if spending beyond 500 not high, better not clock UOB priv.
the miles will expire and given in blocks of $5 spending

personally i use citipremiermiles for the small spending after clocking minimum spend for respective accounts.
- Miles do not expire
- quite easy to get fee waiver
- gives 2 free priority pass entry to airport lounge per calendar year.

I was planning to set it up for future crediting of salary (in 6 months time?). But i guess for now its just to keep the minimum balance. If I keep a zero balance, is it possible for them to charge a $5 fee till it goes negative? Haha.
assuming you are not dumping in large amount after sorting out the giro etc and only planning to use it for salary crediting (approx 6mth later), maybe don't open the account first.

might have some other account opening/salary crediting promotion later on..
worse case your new job might dictate which bank they crediting salary to and end up your UOB account wasted..

Got, you'll be surprised how many SMEs say can only credit to DBS account or something equally nonsensical. :s13:

No idea. Last time work in SME they tell me must pay to DBS account. No longer working there and never asked for reason, maybe someone here might know.

Very simple. Just dont use salary for uob one and use 3x giro instead.

Mostly banks bah. So far i know Citi and SCB staff must create an account with their bank for salary purposes.

MNCs or big companies definitely usually can credit salaries into multiple banks.

I think the SMEs then got restrictions.

i just switched over to use uob one account with the card and placing the max 75k.

need to spend $500 on the uob one card. Does doing a recurring credit card payment of my hdb conservancy fee adds to the $500 required spend?

Has anyone received the SMS to collect the Cathay Movie Suites tickets for opening the UOB ONE account under the "UOB One Account Acquisition Promotion (13 November 2019 to 31 December 2019)"?

$10k was earmarked and reflected in my account but I have yet to received the SMS.

My interest obtain is only $0.24 for January 2020, I just signed up UOB One Acc this month and have funds of $17k. Is this normal? I even charged the UOB One CC for $2k for the grab rebates.

Bonus interest is credited later. Be patient ;-) what is credited on last day of month is the base interest only.
