Will be even worse at maximum 1.2% interest wef 1 Aug.

The interest from Aug onward will be damn pathetic!!!

Extracted from UOB Email
This means that if you maintain a balance of S$75,000 in your UOB One Account, you will receive an average of S$75 in interest per month by meeting both criteria of S$500 card spend AND (a) a minimum of S$2,000 monthly salary credit via GIRO OR (b) three GIRO debit transactions in each calendar month.

this kind of account... if you don't max the tiers, it's not worth the trouble (of spending, GIRO, etc.). may be better off going for other fuss-free accounts. think nowadays RHB seems like a popular choice.

or there's Singlife, Elastiq etc.

<< UOB OneAccount bonus interest chronology >>

Bonus interest if you satisfy the required conditions and have ADB of $75k in the account :

01 August 2018 to 30 April 2020
($4.903)×(no of days in the month)
28 days in the month = $137.27
29 days in the month = $142.17
30 days in the month = $147.08
31 days in the month = $151.98

01 May 2020 to 30 July 2020
($3.58767)×(no of days in the month)
28 days in the month = $100.45
29 days in the month = $104.04
30 days in the month = $107.63
31 days in the month = $111.22

From 01 Aug 2020 to ....
($2.3630)×(no of days in the month)
28 days in the month = $66.16
29 days in the month = $68.52
30 days in the month = $70.89
31 days in the month = $73.25

B.U.M.P.

With reductions in bonus interest also for other banks, July/August is really a month of changes ....

Interest rate really jiak sai! Time to invest the money elsewhere. Buy physical gold or silver or some resilient stocks even much better eg. Sheng Siong. The dividend rate is more attractive than that pathetic interest.

Hi All

For the One card, are these counted as part of the $500 (min) spending?

1) recurring credit card payment to SP Services
2) recurring credit card payment to Keppel Electric
3) recurring credit card payment to Town council for monthly fees
4) Credit card payment to M1 for telco bills

For the One account, are these considered eligible giro transaction?
1) Giro payment to town council for monthly fees
2) Giro payment to pay UOB credit card bills
3) Giro payment to pay other banks credit card bills
4) Giro payment for income tax payment
5) Giro payment for property tax payment
6) Giro payment for insurance (Life) payment to AIA

Thanks.
