12 days promo need to lock 4 months, is the cash given on top of One Account's own interests payout?

Incremental Fresh Funds are measured against your Eligible Account’s day-end balance as at 31 October 2022 and earmarked for approximately 4 months.

Would like to know this as well but based on my understanding, the interest is paid out on the 'Account' balance and not the 'Available balance'. Maybe those that have done the earmarking of funds before can give a comment if they received the interest rates based on the earmarked funds? Thanks in advance :)

same question here, if you earmark the funds for the cash gift, does it still earn the uob one account interest for 500 cc spend and salary credit?

website says
“Earmarked” means that the amount deposited will not be reflected in Account
statements and cannot be withdrawn.

True, most cannot meet the higher Tiers and credit card spend, just stick to Trust Savings or no locked savings accounts for 2.5% will do fine. When save to a lump sum, then decide on a bank with the highest FD or like hwzoners here run round with their above $200k for high yield savings accounts, satki right.

RHB HYSA is no lock in and has zero criteria for the promotion. Dec put in HYSA , Jan move to another account then Feb move back into HYSA. assuming you either just opened the account or had little money inside.

it is like 5.5% for no frills. enjoy Dec then decide what to do next.
even you withdraw middle of Dec the monthly average will factor the bonus interest for you.

yes, interest rates is including the earmarked funds. I signed up for the deposit promo in August. My earmarked funds will be released in the mid of this month.

Ok thank you sir 🙏🏻
You are welcome. I prefer to authenticate stuff rather than guess here guess there and try it out just to realise it doesn’t work. I think it’s smarter and more efficient than groping in the dark thinking ownself is very clever but others are dumb.

Sorry I'm stupid and new to this but I have a question. This caught my eye due to the new high interest rates. My first time doing this. All the while I been doing SSB, etc. Want to shift $100k here but no matter how I do the counter (meeting all criteria) it hovers only around $5k returns per annum. Isn't 7.8% of $100K = $7,800?

Example SSB advertised rates at 3% and if allocated $20k, it is exactly returns of $600.

Thanks all in advanced for guidance.

It’s not $100k at 7.85%. The interests are tiered so the EIR is 5%.

Thank you. Then shouldn't they advertise as 5% instead? Since meeting all criteria for the 7.8% interest tier doesn't give 7.8% and only give 5%.

How did the 7.8% come about? Is there a formula to it? Thank you.

All bank like to advertise their highest interest for a certain tier. so just always take note and see the tnc.

Also UOBone rate since started from years, it is already in tiered system.
