UOB used to be good but customer service drop to 0 since early 2022

Can’t reach by call after an hour

Email no reply

Facebook directed me call

Call directed me to fraud

Fraud directed me to card

Card directed me to fraud

Fraud direct me to email

Never ending

Also they blacklisted some popular merchants’ bank accounts

You must use another bank card to pay them

So better don’t use UOB cards for now until they get themselves sorted out

On the UOB website it says "a min. S$1,600 salary credit via GIRO/PAYNOW (with the transaction reference “SALA”/“PAYNOW SALA”) in each calendar month."

Will it still work if my office Giro to my UOB One Account with the transaction reference "SALARY" instead of "SALA"? I thought naturally, most companies use the reference "Salary" instead of "SALA". I find it strange to tell our financial manager to put in the reference "SALA". This is quite salah.

Also, must the money comes from a company? Can I use my bank account from another bank and GIRO S$1.6k to my UOB One Account with the reference "SALA" and will this fulfill the salary deposit requirement?

very creative out of the box thinking :D if it can be done so easily I wonder if UOB will need to put this clause in the TnCs ... might as well just write "monthly recurring funds transfer of $1.6k":ROFLMAO:

Earmark 100k. Caz they giving 680sgd
680 in 1 yr is 2.5percent or so
It seem that the earmark amt end date is 14 apr 2023 as stated in tnc. Meaning lock 100k for 4.5mths. So to maximise the one acct interest to get 5% for the 5mth, u need to the 100k for 5mth until end april 2023.

Provided that everything stays the same for 5mth, same 5% eir and do 1.6k salary credit and 500 spend for 5mth.

30000x3.85% + 30000x3.90% + 15000x4.85% + 25000x7.80% + 680/5mth×12mth

= (5002.50+1632)/100000x100
= 66324.50/100000x100
= 6.63% only. Not 7%

Correct me if i am wrong tks.

Mine also has issue. I called UOB, the customer service admitted something seemed wrong and he will need to escalate to their other department. So please call UOB.
