Regarding GIRO Payment Cash reward , anyone knows how to set GIRO bill payment with the transaction description “GIRO-Inward Debit”. I'm thinking to pay my M1 & Singtel bill via GIRO using UOB one account. Do I contact M1/Singtel (Bank Giro form) or UOB (Internet GIRO form application form) to fill up form? How to ensure description is “GIRO-Inward Debit”?
Sorry, I'm a bit confused applying GIRO payment.

get the giro form from M1 & SingTel. Once the giro application is approved, the deduction of the bill from your UOB one account should state as GIRO-Inward Debit.

The best combi is salary+credit card. No salary, giro+cc is not worth your effort as I can easily get 3.8% with esaver or isavvy. Pay M1 and Singtel with credit card can earn rebates too!

The request of GIRO has nothing to do with interest rate , it's mainly to fulfil the reward promotion before 30 June to get extra cash $80 other than high interest rate with (salary+cc spend).

Ok I thought so when I read cash reward instead of bonus interest. If you have UOB credit card, just apply giro online should be faster or any other credit card, u dun have to deal with other parties.

2 carrots, but I can't remember exactly for what. I think they are for PayNow and salary credit.

The plus salary is recently only - good for earning above 3.85% for UOBone account savings - saved up beyond 75k to under 100k earns 7.8%?) Otherwise savings under 75k earns better savings rate for uob giro + min $500 eligible cc spend. Beyond 100k life time incoming savings best to have Stanchart esaver savings which they pay interest for EVERY $ savings added. Maybe same for other High Yield Savings in Citigold, HSBC, especially if you are/were their bank loans mortgage/insurance customer of at least $2k a month.
$500 cc spend quite easy if you pay your SP utility (water &aircon) bill, add your parents bills if they are living elsewhere on the own. Buy Sheng Shiong vouchers (no due date to use) of say $200 monthly with the credit card.

Of course I am referring to 100k get 5%!

I cannot meet $500 cc spend, my bills less than that, I will not "waste money" on SS vouchers cos I spend mostly fairprice (most free vouchers I get) , so no go for me. Unless there is a way to hack, which I used to hack, but the hack was gone, so goes my account :ROFLMAO:

For Singtel Giro, get the form from them.
But they sure take ages...it was at least 3 weeks before I got a reply for my application.

For UOB there was an eligible PruActive? Saver I paid just over $500 monthly to save long ago. Usually products they tie up with Insurance Agencies. Oh yes, good to have free Fairprice Vouchers from whoever as gifts then actually you do not need “credit” money to owe until next payday. My salary was changed from DBS to UOB when UOB added “salary” recently only. DBS “multiplier” makes me cry when I gets older and cannot even do additions not to say multiplications!

If I spend on debit card instead of credit card, does it add into the cash rebate?
