If I need a cheque book, I can just open this account right? Don't have to credit in salary. Coz the other uob saving account like no use one.

Or I just open this account and can have 3 giro. Still can get some interest back right?

If you want free chequebook, just open CIMB Starsaver current account.

Just found out about this today, sharing here for awareness.

I took up a 2 year car insurance plan with AIG and paying by installment via ONE card. For the ONE card, this monthly insurance payment will not count towards the $500 min spending.
However, For ONE account, it does take this monthly insurance payment into account.
Verified this with the CSO over the phone.

Did not see the cash rebate in today for the last quarter, so i called up to check as i was very sure that i had spending of >$500 per month, minus off the installment plan payment.

Was told that my last transaction on the last day of feb was only posted in march, all along i thought the spending to qualify for the rebates was based on transaction dates and not posting dates. Nevertheless, UOB still give me the rebate on a one time 'kind' offer, so please ensure you dont wait til the last days of the month then spend as according to the CSO, some merchants will take few days to accept your spending.

UOB one account monthly bonus interest calculation if you meet both criteria and has at least $50k :

((1.5*10000)+(2.0*20000)+(3.33*20000)-(0.05*50000))/100*[no of days in the month]/365

or simply

$(3.263*[no of days in the month])

An update for Year 2017

Jan 31days = $101.15
Feb 28days = $ 91.36
Mar 31days = $101.15
Apr 30days = $ 97.89
May 31days = $101.15
Jun 30days = $ 97.89

Jul 31days = $101.15
Aug 31days = $101.15
Sep 30days = $ 97.89
Oct 31days = $101.15
Nov 30days = $ 97.89
Dec 31days = $101.15

Hi recently jump ship from ocbc to uob one. Is there any interface in the uob online banking to check whether the 2 criteria is fulfil? Spend 500 and 3 giro for example. Coz ocbc has and I find it easy to keep track. Not sure if uob does, anyone can advise? Thanks
