I dont think so cause qualification is based on below-

1. Salary crediting or 3 x GIRO.
2. Credit card spend 500 SGD or more

if your GIROs are not in effect, and if you dont have a salary crediting to the account then the interests will not trigger.

then if you want to get the bonus interest which is paid out quarterly you need to make sure you spend at least 500 per month, for 3 months conseq.
According to the website, the main criteria is the $500 spending which I did hit and I'm supposed to get 1% for that since it's below $10k and no giros.

Because your account was opened somewhere after mid of March?

$4.16 is the full interest @1%pa if your account was opened on the 1st day of the month.
Hmm I think you're right. I signed up online on 9th and it got approved quite awhile later. Thanks!

I opened uob one account and applied for the one card. The cso told me that I have to go to the bank to link the one card to my one account once I receive the credit card. Is this true? Sounds strange in this digital age.

You need to link if you like to withdraw from your UOB One account using the One CC.

I am wondering, if UOB accepts non-original copies of signed GIRO forms?

It is faster to fill up and sign the GIRO forms electronically. Email the form to BO. BO can just print and submit to UOB.

Nope. I'm not going to withdraw using credit card. . That mean I don't have to do anything? Just make 3 giro and charge $500 to uob one card, and I will get the interest? Thanks.

What are some of the things to spend on to hit 500?

My expenses are lower than that, mainly food which is usually paid in cash. Don't want to spend unnecessarily just to hit 500 TOP.

If cannot reach $500 spending, don't force yourself. If combine all the household bills, I am sure it can reach $500.

I believe you can pay Telco bill using their online website with credit card.

If your family/dad is paying Telco pay using Giro, as long as you pay online around 5 working days before due date (which is equivalent to the Giro deduction date), the Giro deduction will not take place. You gonna test out yourself to find out

NTUC vouchers can only keep for 2 years... if he has to be doing this every month, he will have a lot of unused NTUC vouchers

i do not think this card is suitable for anyone who does not have to pay for family bills, coz it will be very difficult to hit $500 per month, unless u r spending on some other useless things...
