Sunday is a non banking day thus date is the next working day. Only transfers from mon to sat are recorded as same date of transfer if it is not a public holiday and if it occurs before 9.30pm to 10pm(varies from bank to bank)

Did not see the cash rebate in today for the last quarter, so i called up to check as i was very sure that i had spending of >$500 per month, minus off the installment plan payment.

Was told that my last transaction on the last day of feb was only posted in march, all along i thought the spending to qualify for the rebates was based on transaction dates and not posting dates. Nevertheless, UOB still give me the rebate on a one time 'kind' offer, so please ensure you dont wait til the last days of the month then spend as according to the CSO, some merchants will take few days to accept your spending.

Regardless of any banks rebate or promo, it's always based on transaction posted date. Appreciate ur reminder to all folks here.

Are you confused with ocbc? Uob is first day of the month

base interest given on last day of the month
the bonus interest is given on 2nd day( or the next day if 2nd is a non working day)

Anyone's bonus interest not in yet? I did spend minimum $500 on my CC but no bonus interest yet. First time facing this issue.

I didn't get the interest. Just called the csd and was told the cc transaction was about S$250 only. But the cc statement showed S$550, and all post/transaction dates are March 2017. Waited long for its check and was told the bank will call back after a thorough check. Terrible. First time didn't, but felt very bad.

Hi, recently I just opened ONE account and deposited $5k. My giros are still pending but I did spend $500. I should be getting 1% for the first $10k right?

$5k x 1% = $50
1 mth = $50/12 = $4.16

Is my understanding of the above formula correct? 'Cause I only received $1.56, so I was wondering if I got it wrong somewhere. TIA!

I dont think so cause qualification is based on below-

1. Salary crediting or 3 x GIRO.
2. Credit card spend 500 SGD or more

if your GIROs are not in effect, and if you dont have a salary crediting to the account then the interests will not trigger.

then if you want to get the bonus interest which is paid out quarterly you need to make sure you spend at least 500 per month, for 3 months conseq.

Because your account was opened somewhere after mid of March?

$4.16 is the full interest @1%pa if your account was opened on the 1st day of the month.
