I see. Thank you for the information. Yep usually I will pay about 6-7x the minimum payment amount. I was just wondering why there wasn't any minimum payment stated for the next billing.

You should be making full payment every month, not just 6-7x minimum payment. You are already paying crazy amount interest by not making full payment.

Me.. but that was like at least 2 years ago. No questions asked or any issue when I opened at branch. I did not ask why my application was rejected.

Wah I called them to ask and you know what they told me?

They say my company has the word USA so I might be US person despite having using MyInfo with my NRIC and CPF statement.

Wtf seriously?

There are people living in the US who are Singapore citizens drawing salaries from Singapore entities and thus contributing to CPF as well. Those would be considered US persons despite their NRIC and CPF statements.

My residential address is Singapore address. My status is also Singaporean. Only foreigners need to visit branch to open account. So why with all these info still need to go down physically

Hi wanna check, the additional $100 grab rebate is given every statement month or is it given together with the $300 uob one rebates meaning $300+$300 if I fulfill 2k each for the 3 statement months?

U have setup giro arrangement to pay your uob cc bill from your UOB One Acct? The giro failed, ie cc bill was not paid and UOB tell u they dunno why?

The same bank, and they tell u dunno why? Send a complain to the press, then see whether they will still claim dunno why! No, first write in to UOB to complain:

1. with the failed giro deduction, if u have proof in the cc statement that payment will be made via giro to your UOB one account this mth (there is a clause printed), u will likely not meet the 3 giro criteria and will lose UOB one bonus interest, request for compensation of lost bonus interest.

2. if u get slapped with late payment fee/interest for cc bill, request for waiver because it was the bank who failed to trigger the giro deduction.

3. request the bank to investigate and make sure giro will not fail the next mth.

Whack them!

A few years back, one bank's system failed to trigger giro deduction from my UOB1 account for cc bill payment, I managed to claim compensation from the bank for lost UOB1 bonus interest and they waive the late fee/interest on cc bill.

I thinking of creating UOB One account and using the UOB One credit card

some questions

1) any promo now? like sign up through some website and get bonus cash? or anything like spend $x in x-months to get some cash back

2) for bonus interest, need 3 bills paid by giro. can i set up the bills to be paid by UOB One credit card?

Hi, I'm new to One account. Is it possible to apply for GIRO via UOB Internet Banking ? From the One Account page, they provide the GIRO form to fill in and mail back. But it's too troublesome.

https://www.uob.com.sg/web-resource...ra1:010919-evergreen:uobsaverpage:na&vid=none

Also, is it possible to set a limit on the max GIRO deduction per arrangement ?

Thanks

Mine was done many years ago, not relevant for me read what is latest available.

I would prefer to go down to the branch, get the forms and complete for the 3-4 giros (bill payment to be deducted from bank account), get the staff to verify signature on the spot, then leave happily. The rest is up to the bank to speed up processing, UOB has to send the forms to each billing organisation to process, then BO send back to UOB for final approval and update, then wait for BO to tell u when giro will start (if cc it will be stated in the bill). Just wait 4 to 6 weeks (I think).

If it is other bank's credit card, go to that bank, get the forms, fill in and get them to verify signature on the spot.

Some things if u want fast, cannot be lazy.
