Does spending on Shopee, Qoo10, Lazada via UOB Debit counted towards the $500 card spend for UOB ONE Account?

New rates from 1st May... what do you think?

Not that attractive any more. From 2.4% dropped to 1.796%. Got to do 3 Giros and $500 credit card spend to qualify some more.

At least DBS still maintain (for those with more than 1+1 categories).

Ocbc 360 still able to sustain 2.4% if you have 70k

it's more like 1.8% because it's 1.2% for first 35k and 2.4% for next 35k...

still, it's very good if not the best right now compared to other banks.

Effective 1.8% for salary component, there are also other components like stepup and card spend. Also there is base 0.05%

i'm considering ES3 RSP + credit card + dividend income (from SSB) for dbs multiplier to hit 2% for $2,500 transaction per month on $50k.

is it worth? not sure if the market is timed now for DCA... may see further drop for the next few quarters before recovery.

Suppose to save money end up spending money :s11:

yah, not going to buy insurance just for the sake of hitting 3 cat. end up spending more instead of saving more. anyway.. this kind of product, dunno how soon they will change the rates again, then buy already wasted.

only part is not sure if it's worth doing DCA now...

The whole point of DCA, is to not bother about timing. If you want to time, you shouldn't be doing DCA in the first place. And if it's so easy to time, everyone would be a millionaire. Just go for it i say. DBS RSP only costs $100/mth anyway, so you don't even need to stomach that much risk.

Hi old birds here, anyone plans to stick with UOB One card after 1/5/2020? :D

How many of us are jumping ship?

i have both Multiplier and One account, 1 for emergency fund and 1 for remaining and day-to-day. still gonna keep the UOB One for day-to-day going forward since its EIR is the next best for me after the Multiplier.
